Boxing legend Tyson Fury believes that Anthony Joshua will retire if he loses to Andy Ruiz Jr in their rematch in Saudi Arabia next month.

It is now almost five months since Ruiz Jr managed to score a win over AJ, becoming the first Mexican heavyweight world champion, and he's determined to prove that it wasn't a lucky start.

Speaking to the True Geordie, as per SportBible, the 'Gypsy King' said: "If he gets knocked out twice in a row, I can't see him continuing to be fair.

"Every man does what he wants to do but I think...

"He doesn't need the money and two knockout losses is a shattering to your career."

In their first fight, the Brit fell to the canvas four times in seven rounds, with Ruiz only getting up from the canvas once throughout the whole fight.

Fury thinks that the rematch next month will go exactly the same way as the first, arguing that it's all to do with how the first fight went:

What it is with me, my opinion of that fight, he beat him once and knocked him out, so he's got a mental edge going into the rematch.

"For whatever excuse they made, whatever the problem was in camp, whatever happened in the changing room, whatever. You're going into it mentally beaten already, because you've already been knocked out once.

"I believe 90% is in the mind anyway. So when you've already been beaten by someone, and it wasn't a lucky punch, like you see Lennox Lewis was beaten by [Hasim] Rahman and Oliver McCall, he was winning the fight and he got chinned.

"Fair play, that's boxing, and then he came back and beat them in the rematch. Joshua wasn't winning that fight, I may have given him one round of the seven."

Fury is currently looking to be scheduled for a rematch himself, fighting Deontay Wilder in February for the world heavyweight belt.

Ruiz v Joshua 2 is scheduled for the Clash on the Dunes pay-per-view in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia on December 7. Not long to go now.
