After a tough second half of 2019, Dillian Whyte is FINALLY making his return to the boxing ring.Much has been speculated over his future, with the 'Bodysnatcher' being provisionally suspended by the WBC over an adverse finding in a drugs test before his defeat of Oscar Rivas in July. That victory made Whyte the number-one contender to Deontay Wilder, and despite the findings of his test he is cleared to fight and he is not waiting around for the UK Anti-Doping [UKAD] agency to make their decision. And today it has been confirmed that he will make his comeback on the much-anticipated Andy Ruiz Jr versus Anthony Joshua rematch undercard.

His opponent will be Polish fighter Mariusz Wach, the 39-year-old boasting a record of 33 wins and five losses.

Wach was undefeated until 2012 where he came up against Wladimir Klitschko, and other losses have come to the likes of Alexander Povetkin and Jarrell Miller.

The Viking is on a three-fight losing streak - albeit to decent competition - and this fight could be the tune-up Whyte needs to put himself back into world title contention in 2020, should be not be suspended.

Whyte has strenuously denied taking anything illegal before the Rivas fight in July, and Eddie Hearn has been critical of UKAD for taking so long to come to a conclusion with their findings.

"He needs to fight. This is his career, his livelihood, his job and what he does," Hearn told BBC Sport.

"We are still waiting for UKAD to give their official synopsis of the event but he's had his hearing, he is cleared to fight.

"It would be ridiculous of him to wait while there is no reason for him to wait."

And wait he won't, as he will return on a huge card which will see the heavyweight titles of the world up for grabs, alongside the likes of Povetkin, Michael Hunter and Filip Hrgovic competing - it is going to be one hard-hitting night on December 7 in Diriyah.
