It's safe to say that professional boxers at the height of the sport are paid more than comfortably, and Deontay Wilder's recent ring walk attire has certainly proved that.

The Bronze Bomber recently took on, and defeated, Luiz Ortiz for the second time as he defended his world title for the 10th successive time.

Wilder now joins the likes of Muhammad Ali who have managed such an incredible record.

However, it's been recently revealed that Wilder spent an outrageous £13,700 on his ring walk outfit, which resembled somewhat of a villainous Power Ranger.

To add further context, the Bronze Bomber wore the outfit for just a matter of minutes. Alright for some, I suppose.

Speaking to TMZ Sports, he said: “With that, we wanted to go into a modern-day king, like knight, the old and the new, the outfit represented the old me turning into the new me.

“The past is the past - welcome to the future.

“So that was the whole idea of it, that’s what it came out to be, it was amazing.

“We’re looking forward to the next costume already to be even better than that one.

“The outfit right there was like 16 grand [£13,700], but you know, it’s a write-off.”

His next outlandish strip is likely to be against Tyson Fury, with the fight supposedly set to take place in February of next year.

It's fair to say Fury is somewhat of a showman and it will take something special from Wilder to divert the spotlight away from the Gyspy King.

The fight between Fury and Wilder is something which fans, and the rest of the world, want to see and the rematch could be one of the biggest fights of the year. However, should Wilder lose to Fury, this will certainly add a spanner in the works in regards to who fights the victor of Anthony Joshua and Andy Ruiz Jr.

One thing is for sure, this is arguably one of the most exciting periods of heavyweight boxing for some time.
