The French forward seemed to hurt himself after jumping into a challenge with a Dortmund player in the first half of the contest.
Dembele removed both of his boots and sat down on the turf as he waited for treatment. He walked off with assistance and was replaced by Antoine Griezmann.
Barcelona later tweeted: “[Dembele] has a right thigh injury. He will undergo testing to determine the exact extent of the injury.”
To see Dembele in tears as he departed was a real shame. He is just 22 years old but his career is being ruined by injuries.

Luis Suarez called for Barcelona’s doctors to find a solution to Dembele’s woes, telling reporters on Wednesday via ESPN: “The doctors have to try and find a solution to his injuries.
“[They have to find out] how he keeps getting injured after he has recovered. We hope he's back with us soon."
Fellow Barcelona player Clement Lenglet added: “It's a shame because [Dembele] always tries to be fresh for every game.
“He was looking forward to playing against his old team and he left the pitch crying because he has football in his heart. When you can't play, you feel it."
GIVEMESPORT’s Scott Wilson says:
What a pity.
Dembele is an exceptional talent who looked like a future Ballon d’Or winner during his time at Borussia Dortmund.
But he hasn’t been a consistent presence during his Barcelona career and he’s quickly becoming one of the biggest wasted talents in the modern era.
The more injuries Dembele accumulates, the more difficult it is to imagine him ever reaching his full potential.
There’s also the mental impact that they are having. It’s clear based on his reaction to his latest injury that the 22-year-old is distraught.
Jack Wilshere springs to mind as another player with immense talent but an inability to stay fit.
There’s nothing worse than when a player failed to live up to the billing purely because his body is consistently failing him.News Now - Sport News
