The 10 best centre-forwards in the world have been ranked

Real Madrid CF v FC Bayern Muenchen - UEFA Champions League Quarter Final: Second Leg

Robert Lewandowski is on fire at the moment.

The Polish striker continued his remarkable goalscoring form as he managed to net four times against Red Star in midweek.

That took his tally to the season to a quite brilliant 27 goals in 20 games.

While Lewandowski has been a world-class striker for some time, many are now starting to consider him the world's best in his position.

But that's not what FourFourTwo think.

FourFourTwo have ranked the 10 best strikers in the world, with the Bayern Munich ace only occupying second place.

It's important to know they've only considered out-and-out number nine's, so the likes of Mohamed Salah and Lionel Messi have not been included.

Here's their list in full...

10. Karim Benzema (Real Madrid)

Benzema has stepped up big time since Cristiano Ronaldo left Real Madrid in 2018.

Since his departure, the Frenchman has netted 44 times in 70 games.

9. Romelu Lukaku (Inter)

Lukaku was ridiculed during his time at Manchester United but has hit the ground running in Italy.

He's hit the back of the net 10 times in 13 Serie A games this season.

8. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Arsenal)

Aubameyang's electric pace and composure in front of goal makes him one of the most feared strikers in the world.

He recently scored his 50th Arsenal goal. It took him just 78 games to reach that landmark.

7. Mauro Icardi (PSG)

Icardi tore up Serie A for many years and now he's doing the same in Ligue 1.

In the past four season he has scored 82 goals in 126 games.

6. Roberto Firmino (Liverpool)

Firmino isn't your typical striker. He doesn't get many goals for Liverpool: Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane get the lion's share.

But he can do everything you could possibly ask for. Whether it's dribbling, passing, shooting, defending... Firmino is undoubtedly the most complete striker in the world.

5. Luis Suarez (Barcelona)

Suarez is 33 in a few months and there's been some suggestions that he's been slowing down in recent years.

While that may be true, Suarez continues to play at an elite level.

4. Harry Kane (Tottenham)

In the 2016/17 and 2017/18 season, Kane scored 76 times in 86 games for Spurs and could do nothing wrong.

While he hasn't been able to replicate that form, he remains one of the world's best strikers.

3. Sergio Aguero (Manchester City)

Aguero's record speaks for itself. He's scored 244 times in 353 games for Manchester City since signing in 2011.

It's criminal he's only been named in the PFA Premier League Team of the Year just twice.

2. Robert Lewandowski (Bayern Munich)

Lewandowski is in ridiculous form for club and country.

He's only just starting to get the credit he's deserved for so many years.

1. Cristiano Ronaldo (Juventus)

Once a winger, Ronaldo has transitioned into a number nine in recent years.

And he's made the switch look seamless. He's netted 34 times in 58 games for Juventus since signing last summer.

1. Robert Lewandowski

First and foremost, Lewandowski HAS to be first. What he's doing at the moment is just incredible.

Ronaldo is now 34 and, while he's still playing at a very high level, with six goals in 15 games this season he shouldn't be considered the best in his position.

Not with Lewandowski firing in the goals, anyway.

We've also bumped up Benzema massively, who has been quite brilliant for Real Madrid over the past few seasons.
