UFC fans can rejoice as we finally, FINALLY, will see Khabib Nurmagomedov and Tony Ferguson go at it inside the Octagon next year.

This fight has been coming for years now, but for numerous reasons, it's never quite happened.

In fact, this is the FIFTH time UFC officials have booked this fight, so for all our sake, let's hope it's fifth time lucky on April 18 in Brooklyn.

The lightweight championship will be on the line as Khabib 'The Eagle' Nurmagomedov looks to prove yet again that he's the best in the business when it comes to that division.

However, Ferguson will arguably be one of his toughest opponents yet, so we shouldn't rule anything out.

Looking at their professional records, Khabib has 28 fights under his belts with 28 wins. On his CV are wins over the likes of; Dustin Poirier, Conor McGregor, Al Iaquinta, Edson Barboza and Michael Johnson.

His wins against Poirier and Barboza won his Performance of the Night in the process.

As for Ferguson, his record stands at 25 wins and 3 losses. He's beaten the likes of Donald Cerrone, Anthony Pettis, Rafael dos Anjos and Edson Barboza, but he's fallen short against Michael Johnson, Jamie Toney and Karen Darabedyan.

His defeat to Johnson was the only one, however, that came in the UFC.

So on paper, Khabib has the better record, but what can we come to expect come April 18 when the two finally go head-to-head?

Well, a YouTube account 'Mma Fights' has potentially given us a teaser/spoiler as he's simulated a fight between the pair on EA Sports UFC 3.

Unsurprisingly, Khabib takes the fight to the mat almost immediately in the first round, something that will likely happen when the two come to blows in the actual fight next year.

However, by the end of the round, 'The Eagle' came to regret that decision as Ferguson flipped it over and started to pound on the floored Russian.

Then, moments later, in something you wouldn't come to expect in real life, Ferguson submits Khabib to win the bout.

Of course, this is only a bit of fun and a look into what happened when the two met in a virtual world.

Luckily for us all, we will have an answer for sure come April 18, but we're pretty sure it won't end in Ferguson submitting Khabib.
