Anthony Joshua is planning to yell “f*** everybody” should he win the rematch to anyone who gave him slack after June’s shock defeat to Andy Ruiz Jr.

The 2012 Olympic gold medalist fights to regain his WBA, IBF and WBO belts in their Saudi Arabia rematch on December 7 and insists he will do exactly that.

Critics were firing at Joshua from all sides after his shock defeat to Ruiz Jr, but he is determined to ensure that there is no repeat of this result in the rematch.

AJ declared: “What do people think this is? This is fighting. One loss doesn’t take the spots off a cheetah.

“I came into boxing to fight. I’ve been champion. I’ve been Olympic champion.

“You can’t ask me about how I feel after a loss - you have to hold some regard to what we’re doing in this boxing industry.”

When I win, I will be like, ‘f*** everybody’.

The Watford-born boxer became a world champion inside 16 professional fights and bagged an Olympic gold medal just four years after starting his boxing career.

This, in turn, led to comparisons with fellow heavyweights Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury after victories against Wladimir Klitschko and Joseph Parker, which added two more belts to his collection.

AJ turned professional in 2013 and had his uncle Seyi Alabi’s help with commercial deals. Around the same time, Ruiz was winning eight-round learning fights on the undercard of shows that were barely televised.

Seyi Alabi gave AJ a 15-man list of up-and-coming contenders to look out for and Andy Ruiz was on this list. This head-hunting process has led to sensational wins against Dillian Whyte, Alexander Povetkin and Klitschko, and Joshua thinks he deserves more credit and respect for this.

Joshua said: “I’ve got a list my uncle gave me way back before I turned professional and Andy Ruiz was on that list.

“But even back then we wanted to fight the best. I’ve always taken on challenges - and that’s why I’ve always felt the respect is not given.”
