Everton suffered 93rd-minute heartache as Kelechi Iheanacho scored a late winner to hand Leicester a 2-1 victory at the King Power stadium. The striker's goal was initially ruled out for offside by the linesman before it was overturned by VAR. It sparked incredible scenes among the Foxes players. The technology studied Iheanacho closely before concluding he was level.Marco Silva looked genuinely broken on the sidelines.

The Toffees boss was already clinging to his job by a thread and could now find himself being beckoned into the boardroom tomorrow morning.

The only thing keeping him in the hot seat appears to be the board's indecision as to who to appoint next.

It was no coincidence that the cameras panned to Bill Kenwright soon after Iheanacho's goal was awarded.

Iheanacho had not scored in his previous 24 appearances and his goal means Leicester remain eight points behind Liverpool in second.

Brendan Rodgers was expected to do well this season. The Northern Irishman had an immediate impact when he joined from Celtic but nobody really saw a title challenge coming.

That's what Jurgen Klopp might have on his hands after Leicester snatched the three points.

Check out those last-gasp scenes below.

Everton, by contrast, are 17th, two points above the relegation zone. It's been a dire season for them so far and it just got a whole lot worse.

The agony and the ecstasy of football.
