Frustratingly for a lot of WWE fans, the storyline between Rusev, his real-life wife Lana and Bobby Lashley is still going on.It began on the final night of September, where the 'Ravishing Russian' returned to our television screens after several months away, and she shocked fans by bringing out an also-returning Lashley. What surprised the WWE Universe even more were the shocking scenes which saw the two passionately kiss on the stage as Rusev just watched in disbelief. It was no shock to some as Vince McMahon seems to love romance angles, and it's not even the first time that he's had Rusev and Lana take part in one - remember the 'love square' which involved Dolph Ziggler and Summer Rae?Some cynics will think that he's trying to ruin their relationship, and some of the scenes we've seen would make you think that we have another Edge, Lita and Matt Hardy on our hands, but from what we are aware of that isn't the case.

It's incredible to think that in the two months this feud has been rumbling on, Rusev and Lashley haven't had a match against each other yet.

They've had several brawls but no official matches - they were supposed to fight at Starrcade on Sunday night but Lana managed to secure another 'restraining order', preventing it from happening.

Last week on Raw, Rusev was 'arrested' by the police for breaching his 'order' and attacking Lashley, but the tables turned last night.

Rusev once again came through the crowd to attack Lashley following his match with Kevin Owens, but he escaped before the Nashville 'police' had a chance to do anything about it.

This irked Lashley, who aggressively brushed past one of the 'officers' - an offence he was laughably 'arrested' for.

And Lana's 'arrest' followed after she slapped the 'officer' who had cuffed Lashley, and both were hauled out of the arena.

Despite it all being painfully cringeworthy, the live audience seemed to react to it, and the YouTube numbers for people watching mean that WWE will continue to persist with this storyline and the way they are going about it.

With the Tables, Ladders and Chairs pay-per-view coming up, maybe Rusev and Lashley will finally have a match, after all that's what wrestling is for - right?
