Former heavyweight world champion Tyson Fury has claimed that he saved the life of a stranger who was intent on committing suicide.Throughout his own life, Fury has struggled with mental health problems, revealing last year that he nearly drove his Ferrari off a bridge during his darkest moment. After the incident, he managed to turn his life around and returned to the ring to almost become champion last year when he drew against Deontay Wilder. Since then, Fury has promoted himself as a figurehead for people who are struggling with mental health issues and has done some fantastic work to promote the cause.Yesterday, he took to Instagram to tell the story of his "strange experience" with a suicidal stranger, saying: "I'm very humbled in one way but very freaked out in another.

"A random stranger came to my house tonight and told me he was about to commit suicide but that he needed to speak to me first before he did it.

"So obviously me being me, I talked him out of it and took him on a three-mile run. He left as happy as Larry and it seems to have worked.

"To all those people out there suffering from mental health problems, please do not take your own life.

"It will get better, I promise you. There is help around the corner, please seek medical advice immediately and you will return to what you once were.

"It ain't over, it wasn't over then and it ain't now. Come on people, don't give up; keep fighting and never say die.

"Like I got up in round 12 against Wilder, keep getting up no matter how many times it puts you down, keep moving forward because we never surrender."

Incredible work from Fury there, and a brilliant message for everyone else who is struggling at the moment.

The Gypsy King is due to return to the ring on February 22 when he will face Wilder for a rematch.
