Well, the iconic and memorable PS1 is officially 25 years old.
Do you feel old now? Because we certainly do!
Whether you were a Crash Bandicoot, Tomb Raider, or FIFA 99 fan, the PlayStation One was where it all began.

Okay, looking back at it now, the graphics aren't exactly great, but at the time, it was mesmerising. You could save games and come back to it at a later date whenever you wanted.
The PlayStation One was truly groundbreaking in the gaming industry, and it certainly paved the way for future consoles.
To pay tribute to its birthday, PlayStation UK on Twitter posted the following video and accompanied it with the caption: "25 years ago today, it all began!
"Thank you to ALL the players, we wouldn't be here without you. #25YearsOfPlay"
The video will certainly give you a nostalgia trip.
The loading screen, the background noise and then simply praying you didn't see the dreaded message 'Disc Read Error.'
If you are wondering just how it's now 25 years old, well the first PlayStation was released in Japan on December 3, 1993. Just in time for Christmas over in Japan; very clever thinking from all at Sony.
Fast forward 25 years and we're about to head into 2020 and just around the corner is the PlayStation 5.
Given the advances in technology, we can only imagine what is in store for the latest console, but one thing is for sure, it will never beat the classic that is the PlayStation One.
