If you've got plans on Saturday, then it's time to cancel them.

December 7 is going to go down as one of the greatest sporting days of the 2019 calendar, and it's one you will not want to miss.

So whether you've agreed to go Christmas shopping with your partner, or just doing something with your mates, it's time to act and think of a good excuse to rearrange.

Saturday Lunchtime - Everton vs Chelsea

Your day is going to start at lunchtime, so get yourself down to the pub in the morning for a pre-sport fry-up and your first beverage of the day.

At 12:30, we have Everton playing host to Chelsea, as the struggling Toffees look to get some momentum going into the busy festive period. However, momentum is something Frank Lampard's side isn't lacking as they are sitting comfortably in fourth place.

Once the lunchtime kick-off is done and dusted, there's a few 3pm Premier League games that will tick us over nicely until the early evening.

Early Evening - Manchester Derby

Then, at 17:30, we are treated to our first Manchester Derby of the season. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer takes his struggling Manchester United side to the noisy neighbours of Manchester City with pride and bragging rights on the line.

Fear not, though, as that's not all we have in store on this delightful Saturday.

If you're a fan of Italian football, you can feast your eyes on Lazio playing host to Juventus at 19:45, but if you are a bit tired of football by this point, why not turn your attentions to boxing.

Evening - Boxing Takes Over

From England to Saudi Arabia as the world prepares itself for one of the biggest rematches in boxing history.

But, before the main event of Anthony Joshua vs Andy Ruiz Jr II, we have a couple of juicy names on the undercard, none more so than Dillian Whyte.

Returning from the drug controversy that marred his last fight, Whyte is set to fight Polishman Mariusz Wach as he looks to stamp his name in the title picture once again.

As well as Whyte, Alexander Povetkin will also be featuring on the undercard as he takes on Michael Hunter.

Then, the main event itself. Anthony Joshua vs Andy Ruiz Jr II.

The Mexican stunned the world when he defeated AJ back in the summer, and he's now looking to prove that it wasn't a fluke or just an off night for the Brit.

All eyes will be on this fight as it's undoubtedly the biggest rematch boxing has seen in decades. It really is win or bust for Anthony Joshua.

And if you thought that was it, you are wrong!

Sunday Morning UK Time - Chris Eubank Jr

More boxing was announced last week as Chris Eubank Jr will be making his bow Stateside as he takes on Matt Korobov for the vacant WBA interim middleweight title.

Although technically this will be on in the UK on Sunday 8, why not just extend the great day that is December 7?

It really is Christmas come early for sports fans.
