The highly-anticipated rematch will see Anthony Joshua take away a reported £40-£60million compared to Ruiz Jr who is only set to make £7.7million.

Considering that Ruiz Jr is the current WBA, IBF and WBO heavyweight World Champion, the fact that he is set to make over six times less the amount than his opponent is staggering.

These figures are due to change a tiny bit however, as the final sum will depend on the pay-per-view sales generated by the event.

The rematch takes place in Saudi Arabia after Ruiz Jr upset all the odds to beat AJ in the USA in June - AJ’s first ever professional loss.

AJ will not be wanting a repeat of the seventh round TKO this time around and has done everything in his power - including a diet change and training intensity - to ensure that this won’t happen again and that he reclaims his belts.

Anthony Joshua’s loss back in June has inspired him to come back stronger and rightly so after it ended a sensational winning streak since making his professional boxing debut back in 2013.

AJ has notched up 22 wins in 23 professional fights with 21 of them being from a KO.

He also won gold at the 2012 Olympic Games in London.

His most reputable wins coming against high profile opposition such as Dillian Whyte, Wladimir Klitschko and Alexander Povetkin.

The reported £46million fee AJ will receive should he win the fight will be a British boxing record, eclipsing Ricky Hatton’s £20million prize money in 2007 for his fight against Floyd Mayweather.

Floyd Mayweather holds the record for the biggest earnings in boxing history however, after picking up £250million for winning his fight against Manny Pacquiao back in 2015.
