Dina Asher-Smith set the red carpet ablaze at the British Fashion Awards last night.

The 23-year-old 200m World Champion made an appearance at the celebration of the best moments of British Fashion in 2019.

It has been a whirlwind few weeks for the British sprinter as she has scooped up Sunday Times Sportswoman of the Year, Sports Journalists Association Sportswoman of the Year, and has been nominated as one of the contenders for the BBC Sports Personality of the Year award.

The awards come after she won the gold medal in the 200m and silver in the 100m at this year's World Championships in Doha.

Dina shared a picture at the BFA awards and revealed she was wearing a gold David Koma dress with Gianvito Rossi black strapped heels.

She used the Instagram post to thank Elle UK for their support of women in sport and to call for more action in the coming years.

"Thank you so much to @elleuk for having me as your guest at the #FashionAwards.

"Thank you so much for your continued support, coverage and elevation of us to be cross-category role models.

"I sincerely hope that we continue to get more mainstream coverage and more collabs for sportswomen in 2020."

Dina featured as the cover star for Elle's July edition this summer as one of Britains next generation changing the face of sports.
