When WWE commissioned a new Draft to consolidate a hard brand split back in October, the commentary teams of Raw and SmackDown were given a big shake up.

The trio of Michael Cole, Corey Graves and Renee Young would no longer be operating on Monday night Raw, with Cole and Graves heading to SmackDown and Young focusing on her WWE Backstage show on FOX on Tuesday nights.

Before the Draft, SmackDown's commentary trio were Graves, Tom Phillips and Byron Saxton, however neither Phillips or Saxton got a spot on Raw's team, as Monday nights are now headed-up by former 205 Live announcer Vic Joseph, assisted by Jerry Lawler and Dio Maddin.

However Raw's announce team was reduced to two a few weeks ago, after some Brock Lesnar-related shenanigans.

After Paul Heyman tried to provoke Lawler, former NFL player Maddin stood up to Heyman and Lesnar, towering over the WWE Champion by a good couple of inches, but received an F5 for his troubles.

That was used to write Maddin off television, and it has now been revealed that he's decided to give his wrestling career another go, and he's returned to the Performance Center in Orlando, and we may see him on NXT some time soon.

The man that temporarily replaced Maddin at the booth was Samoa Joe - and it looks like he's becoming a regular fixture, as Ryan Satin confirmed on WWE Backstage last night.

Joe returned on the November 18 of Raw all suited up, but his hand was still in a cast, owing to a broken thumb suffered way back in September.

It's no surprise to see that his incredible promo skills have helped him in the commentary booth, as he's impressed fans on a weekly basis.

They will be happy then that he's staying until he's medically cleared to compete, which can't be much longer considering his cast is now off.

With no Brock Lesnar around currently, the United States Championship picture looks top-heavy with big superstars, and Joe is another name you'll need to throw into the mix once he's fully-healed.

But for now we can just marvel and enjoy his splendid commentary work - and forget that Jerry Lawler is still at the announcers booth too!
