On Wednesday night, Jurgen Klopp reached 100 Premier League wins in charge of Liverpool - and he did it in style.

Klopp sprung plenty of surprises with his line-up ahead of the Merseyside derby, resting the likes of captain Jordan Henderson, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino.

With the Reds eight points clear at the top of the Premier League, it seemed like a foolish idea before kick-off.

But his gamble paid off as he watched his side thrash their local rivals 5-2.

It was Klopp’s 100th win in his 159th Premier League game in charge.

And it seems like the perfect time for us to reflect on Klopp’s 100 league victories. Therefore, we’ve attempted to rank the top 10 league wins Liverpool have had under their manager.

10 | Liverpool 3-1 Man Utd | 16 December 2018

A win that took Klopp’s side to the top of the table and spelt the end of Jose Mourinho’s reign at United.

The Reds went into the match as heavy favourites but the clash was tied at 1-1 with less than 20 minutes remaining.

That was until two deflected Xherdan Shaqiri goals gave Liverpool a 3-1 win.

9 | Liverpool 1–0 Everton | 2 December 2018

This made the top 10 more for the way the three points came about, rather than the performance.

It looked as though the home side were going to fall four points behind Manchester City as they were being held by a stubborn Everton side.

That was until Virgil van Dijk’s sliced volley hit the bar twice before Divock Origi challenged the flailing Jordan Pickford and headed in a 96th-minute winner.

Cue Klopp running onto the pitch as Anfield erupted.

8 | Chelsea 1-3 Liverpool | 31 October 2015

This was actually Klopp’s first win in the Premier League after taking over from Brendan Rodgers.

They went behind after four minutes but a Philippe Coutinho brace and a late Christian Benteke strike sealed an impressive 3-1 victory.

7 | Liverpool 5-2 Everton | 4 December 2019

Klopp’s 100th Premier League win in charge of Liverpool.

He made plenty of changes and yet his side thrashed their Merseyside rivals 5-2 to remain eight points clear.

Shaqiri, Origi and Adam Lallana all came in terrorised Marco Silva’s side.

6 | Arsenal 3–4 Liverpool | 14 August 2016

Not a bad opening weekend victory in the 2016/17 season.

Liverpool went 1-0 down but equalised before half-time thanks to Coutinho’s terrific free-kick.

Eighteen minutes into the second-half and Liverpool were 4-1 ahead with debutant Mane scoring a wonder goal before jumping on Klopp’s back to celebrate.

Arsenal got it back to 4-3 thanks to future Liverpool player Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Callum Chambers but the Reds held on…just.

5 | Man City 1-4 Liverpool | 21 November 2015

Just a month after Klopp took over, he masterminded a 4-1 victory at the Etihad. An Eliaquim Mangala own goal, strikes from Coutinho, Firmino and a late thumper from Martin Skrtel sealed a fantastic win.

4 | Liverpool 5-1 Arsenal | 29 December 2018

A Firmino hat-trick put Liverpool a massive nine points clear at the top of the table last December.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles gave Arsenal the lead but, by half-time, Liverpool were 4-1 up.

Firmino’s second-half penalty had the home fans dreaming of Premier League glory.

3 | Liverpool 2-0 Chelsea | 14 April 2019

Four months later and Kopites were still dreaming of winning their first ever Premier League title.

This huge victory over Chelsea put Liverpool two points clear with just four games remaining.

A Sadio Mane header and a Mohamed Salah screamer in two second-half minutes gave Klopp’s side hope of trumping City to the title.

They ultimately fell short.

2 | Liverpool 4-3 Man City | 14 January 2018

City went into the clash 15 points clear at the top of the Premier League having not lost a game all season.

Oxlade-Chamberlain’s first-half screamer put the home side ahead before Leroy Sane’s equaliser before the break.

But goals from the front-three - Firmino, Mane and then Salah - put the Merseysiders 4-1 ahead.

Late goals from Bernardo Silva and Ilkay Gundogan made it nervy but Liverpool just about held out.

1 | Liverpool 3-1 Man City | 10 November 2019

Liverpool’s win against City last month could prove to be Klopp’s most important victory in the Premier League.

The win put the Reds eight points clear as a Fabinho screamer and Salah’s header put them 2-0 up after 13 minutes.

Mane’s goal six minutes into the second-half sealed all three points despite Silva’s late consolation.

The win put Liverpool eight points clear over the reigning champions - a lead they have since extended to 11 points.

100 Premier League wins for Klopp and counting. The club have experienced some incredible moments under the German and they hope to experience many more.

But those previous 100 wins will count for very little if he can't lead Liverpool to the title this season. It's the trophy everyone associated with the club desperately want and they now have the perfect chance to deliver it as they sit eight points clear.

Every win between now and May will feel massive as they attempt to see off the threat of Leicester, Man City and Chelsea.

If Klopp can lead Liverpool to another 20 Premier League wins before the end of the season, the title will surely be theirs.
