Arsenal fans are not happy with the club’s situation right now.

‘LjungbergOut’ was trending on Twitter during the Gunners’ 2-1 defeat against Brighton & Hove Albion on Thursday, a result which extended their winless run to nine matches.

Freddie Ljungberg’s arrival following Unai Emery’s sacking has failed to provide the spark that many were hoping for and the club now sit just five points above the Premier League relegation zone.

The frustration of the supporters is at the most ferocious point it has been for a very, very long time, and Arsenal Fan TV offers a glimpse into their level of anger.

The controversial YouTube channel becomes a popular site for many fans - of Arsenal and of their rivals - at times like this.

And regular ‘Troopz’ made a rather grim forecast during his appearance after the Brighton defeat - that Arsenal could suffer a similar fate to Leeds United.

Leeds played against Valencia in the Champions League semi-final in 2001 but were relegated to the Championship just three years later.

They are yet to return to the top flight, even dropping to League 1 for three seasons in 2007, and Troopz thinks a similar downfall could happen to Arsenal.

“Remember Leeds United? We could be Leeds United. We could be the next Leeds,” he said.

“You’re never too good to go down.

“That [Leeds] team that went down was not a team that you thought would have got relegated. If you compare that team, it’s probably the same as this [Arsenal] team.”

We’re in a relegation battle right now. We’re in a relegation scrap.

Arsenal have 19 points from 15 league games, which is only five more than 18th-placed Everton currently have.

And with games against Manchester City, Chelsea and Manchester United to come in the next few weeks, there is no respite for Ljungberg and his players.

Confidence within the group appears low and the players aren’t getting much support from the fans right now.

It’s hard to see a way out of this mess.
