We're officially into sacking season and the latest round of Premier League games claimed another victim.

Everton's Marco Silva was axed after a 5-2 defeat to Liverpool, following Mauricio Pochettino, Unai Emery and Quique Sanchez Flores out of their respective doors.

Those four will not be the last judging by several teams' current form.

Few West Ham fans would be surprised if Manuel Pellegrini were next, and it's an understatement to say there won't be much clamour for Freddie Ljungberg to get the Arsenal job on a permanent basis.

In fact, the Gunners are the only team in the whole of the top flight who haven't won any of their last six league games.

With a little help from Transfermarkt, we've taken a look at the form table and it's deeply concerning for the north Londoners.

It shows them teetering above the relegation zone - mind you, they could actually crash into it in real life by the end of December should they lose their next three games and the teams below them pick up enough points.

Unlikely, we admit - but with Arsenal, who knows? Let's take a look:

1. Leicester City

How on earth are Liverpool not top given the run they're on? Leicester edge it based on their better defensive record - they've let in just one goal in their last six games and that came against Everton.

2. Liverpool

To be frank, what matters most is that the Reds are top of the league by eight points, courtesy of the longest unbeaten run in their entire history. Like Leicester, they've won all of their last five.

3. Wolves

It was feared the Europa League would be too much of a burden on Wolves, but they've won three of their last five and drawn the other two.

4. Manchester City

City bounced back with a 4-1 victory over Burnley but defeats to Liverpool and a draw with Newcastle  have pegged them back.

5. Newcastle

Only Aston Villa have beaten the Magpies since mid-October. Steve Bruce had his critics but he continues to inspire shock results.

6. Chelsea

Just a few weeks ago, Chelsea even looked like possible title contenders but that bubble has burst somewhat with defeats to Manchester City and West Ham.

7. Manchester United

United's win over Tottenham has done them the world of good, but it doesn't quite mask the draws with newly-promoted Sheffield United and Aston Villa.

8. Tottenham

The Mourinho effect. The Portuguese won his first two league games in charge of Spurs before tasting defeat against former employers United. In Mauricio Pochettino's final two games, the Lilywhites drew with Sheffield United and Everton.

9. Southampton

Boosted by playing the teams around them, the Saints have won back-to-back games against Watford and Norwich and also drawn with Arsenal in Unai Emery's last league match.

10. Sheffield United

This season's surprise package, Chris Wilder's men have only lost once in their last six and that was amid VAR controversy against Newcastle.

11. Burnley

Burnley had three consecutive 3-0 scorelines and they were on the right end of two of them - but they've since lost to Crystal Palace and Man City.

12. Brighton

Even in Arsenal's current state, nobody quite expected Brighton to leave the Emirates with all three points. That they did, but the fixture list has been unkind to them hence their previous three defeats to Manchester United, Leicester and Liverpool.

13. Crystal Palace

The Eagles have also had tricky fixtures but have at least triumphed in their winnable games against Burnley and Bournemouth.

14. Aston Villa

Villa are going to have to scrap for every point this season. The highlight of their recent run was a draw with United at Old Trafford although truth be told, they deserved more.

15. Norwich

Norwich have been poor except for a victory over Everton and a draw with Arsenal.

16. Everton

Three defeats on the bounce spelled the end for Marco Silva.

17. Arsenal

What is there to say about them at this point? In all competitions, things are even worse and they're without a win in nine.

18. Bournemouth

Eddie Howe admits he is in one of his trickiest spells as Bournemouth manager and they've now lost four in a row, though they did beat Man United before that.

19. Watford

Nigel Pearson has just become their third manager of the season by early December. Enough said.

20. West Ham

Even with that shock win at Stamford Bridge, West Ham are glued to the bottom of the form table. Either side of that, they've lost at home to Newcastle, let in three against Burnley and Tottenham, and then lost 2-0 to Wolves.

It's a small sample, granted.

The form table doesn't lie, however, and the likes of Arsenal and Everton could be in serious trouble if they don't arrest their slumps soon.
