Anthony Joshua picked up the biggest win of his career to date last night against Andy Ruiz Jr in Saudi Arabia. After suffering the first loss of his career at the hands of Ruiz back in June, Joshua produced a slick performance to bamboozle the Mexican, winning by unanimous decision. The Brit was too quick and skilful, as he utilised his jab to perfection to keep a frustrated Ruiz at bay for pretty much the entire 36 minutes of the fight. Now the focus will switch onto Joshua's next opponent. Will he take on the winner of Deontay Wilder vs Tyson Fury II? Or perhaps a trilogy fight against Ruiz?It could be neither. That's because the WBO have now ordered Joshua - their new champion - to fight his mandatory challenger.

Who's that you ask? None other than former unified cruiserweight champion, Oleksandr Usyk.

Joshua has 180 days to arrange the fight, or he will have to vacate the belt on June 4, 2020.

With the Watford man desperate to unify the division by claiming Deontay Wilder's WBC strap in the future, he will surely have to take on the Ukrainian to keep hold of the WBO belt.

Usyk recently made his heavyweight debut in Chicago, stopping stand-in opponent Chazz Witherspoon in the seventh round.

ANALYSIS

GIVEMESPORT'S Danny Ryan says:

Joshua vs Usyk would be an absolutely titanic heavyweight battle.

Few fighters in the world possess a superior boxing IQ to Usyk's, but Joshua's performance against Ruiz proved that his isn't bad either.

Two men capable of producing that sweet science and also possessing immense power to stop the fight at any given moment? An absolute dream for boxing fans.

If any heavyweight bout could rival Wilder vs Fury II in 2020, it could be Joshua vs Usyk in front of a packed Wembley Stadium!

Make. It. Happen.
