Saudi Arabia played host to an iconic night of boxing on Saturday evening as Anthony Joshua reclaimed his lost glory by defeating Andy Ruiz Jr on points in their massive rematch. The Brit had been stunned by Ruiz just six months ago in his US debut to lose the heavyweight titles, but he put on a boxing masterclass last night, altering his gameplan and simply frustrating the Mexican for all 12 rounds. In fact, most people had AJ winning at least 10 out of the 12 rounds, which just goes to show how dominant he was.Joshua cut his opponent early on, in the very first round in fact, with a brutal right hand to the eye, which clearly shook and impacted Ruiz Jr.However, the Mexican scrapped back and appeared to cut AJ in response, but it was seemingly because their two heads collided with each other.

Ruiz Jr did have some luck throughout the fight, landing some massive blows which would've certainly rocked Joshua back in June, but the boxer from Watford had clearly learned his lesson.

He didn't stay in too long to scrap with Ruiz, and he picked his moments perfectly.

In the end, it was a comfortable night's work for Joshua, like it should have been back in June, and the two fighters shared a nice moment talking to each other in the ring after the fight.

Asked in his press conference what was said between the pair, Joshua revealed: "I said never give up. I just told him to never give up.

"It's tough, you're a great man first of all. You're a great champion as well. But I told him to never give up and stop chasing his dream."

Joshua then followed that up by saying: "Boxing is tough, but he's created his own history, he's created his own legacy, and I created mine tonight and I'm glad we could both play a part in each other's legacy.

"So I just gave him a pat on the back and said I'm sure I'll see you again"

Trilogy fight, anyone?
