Former cruiserweight world champion Tony Bellew has called Anthony Joshua ‘the best heavyweight in the world again’ after his victory against Andy Ruiz Jr.Bellew said in an interview with iFL TV: “I’m gonna say it. He’s the best heavyweight in the world again. I don’t care what anyone says, I don’t give a s***."He’s shown a whole different dimension to his game. What people don’t think he’s able to do, he’s done that."Bellew’s verdict comes after Joshua dominated the fight against Ruiz and won on all three of the judges’ scorecards. He won 118-110, 118-110 and 119-109 to regain his world heavyweight titles after losing them to Ruiz earlier this year in New York.

Joshua is now once again the WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO world heavyweight champion.

He managed to avoid another upset by staying behind his jab for most of the fight and preventing Ruiz from landing any significant punches.

Ruiz struggled to keep up with the former Olympic heavyweight champion after he weighed in 15 pounds heavier than in the first fight.

It was Joshua who looked like the more hungry and determined fighter, using his quick feet and fast hands to keep Ruiz away.

Ruiz said in the post-fight press conference that it was his extra weight that let him down.

“I should have trained harder… for this fight I was overweight. I didn’t move how I wanted to."

The result leaves Andy Ruiz Jr with a record of 33 wins to two losses and AJ with 23 wins to just one loss.

Joshua is expected to fight either WBO challenger Oleksandr Usyk or IBF challenger Kubrat Pulev next.

A unification bout is then likely against America’s WBC world heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder.

But Tyson Fury will have something to say about that as he is set for a rematch with Wilder in February.

It is not clear whom Andy Ruiz Jr will fight next in his next bout.
