The Rock took the WWE scene by storm.

The character played by Dwayne Johnson has since gone onto conquer the world of acting too, with his new film ‘Jumanji 2’ set to hit our screens on Wednesday.

With that fast approaching, there is time to take a look at one of the wrestler’s most iconic moments from the world of WWE.

In 2000, The Rock, with a full head of hair, looked a lot different, but still completely recognisable.

The promotion for his fight in April of that year was memorable for a whole host of reasons.

The video starts by cutting to The Rock, who is wearing sunglasses despite being indoors, getting interviewed about his upcoming fight.

In the beginning, the superstar doesn’t react at all, listening to the interviewer talk about how this would be the first time he would endure a vicious ‘Hell in the Cell’ match with five other men.

Then, the headline act, quite imposingly, put his hand to the interviewer’s face, who obeyed and goes quiet… allowing The Rock to shout: “Finally, The Rock has come back to New Jersey!”

That, being just one of his many infamous catchphrases that captured the thousands of people in the audience.

He then continued to mock some of the biggest names in WWE history, including; The Undertaker, Triple H, Kurt Angle, Rikishi and Stone Cold Steve Austin with some hilarious impressions.

Finally, he finished the legendary promo with his most famous and widely loved catchphrase of them all: “If you smell what The Rock is cooking,” combined, of course, with the classic eyebrow raise.

It was an occasion that delivered too... even if The Rock didn’t. In turn, he was hit with a ‘Stone Cold Stunner’ and missed out on the chance to regain his WWE Championship belt.

The Rock will go down as one of the greatest to ever lace up a pair of boots. Nearly 20 years on, and we are still smelling what he was cooking.
