Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. is attempting to follow in his father’s footsteps by becoming a professional footballer.

And based on reports of the youngster’s progress, he’s doing pretty well.

The nine-year-old plays for Juventus Under-9s and, just like his father, is having no problems finding the back of the net.

He reportedly scored an incredible 58 goals in just 28 games for Juve’s youth team, along with 18 assists.

Ronaldo Jr. scored four goals on his debut and in another game, bagged seven goals.

And he starred for Juve’s Under-9s in a recent tournament where he was named best striker of the competition.

His team won the Cavour Trophy, with Ronaldo Jr. scoring three goals throughout the tournament.

Ronaldo later posted a photo of his son with his individual award on Instagram, writing: “I’m a proud daddy”.

It seems like the sky is the limit for the young lad.

But Ronaldo has tempered expectations by admitting it will be difficult for his son will reach his heights.

“I hope that Cris, my son, can be like his dad. He says he is going to be better (than me), but I think it's difficult,” the 34-year-old told beIN Sports last year, per the Daily Mail.

“I am very happy to have scored, for him too. He is playing for Juventus and adapting really well, it has been easier for him than for me.”

FBL-FIFA-AWARDS

Considering the luxuries afforded to him, it wouldn’t be a surprise if one day we see Ronaldo Jr. at the professional level.

He shares 50 per cent of his genes with a five-time Ballon d’Or winner and will have witnessed his father’s incredible work ethic growing up.

And he’s already on the books at Juventus, one of the finest clubs in history.
