Matt Hardy has proclaimed his 'countdown to Arcadia' has begun following his loss this week on WWE Monday Night Raw.Matt Hardy made only his second appearance on WWE TV since April when he faced off against Drew McIntyre last night on Raw.His other appearance came on the red brand as well on November 25 when he lost in relatively quick fashion in a match against Buddy Murphy.Hardy lost quickly again this past Monday night after McIntyre hit him with a Future Shock DDT and then the Claymore for the pinfall victory.Following his loss on Raw, the former Tag Team Champion took to Twitter and stated his 'countdown to Arcadia has begun,' which could be an indication that he's going to leave WWE once his contract expires.

He said in his first tweet: "Still in my #RAW slump, I'm sorry. MORE ATONEMENT APPARENTLY."

He later tweeted: "I know the slump & losses won’t last forever, my countdown to Arcadia has begun. I will show up & do my job. We’ll get past this together.

"I’ve received so much love, support & sympathy tonight from the most vocal audience. Without you, there’s no me. THANK YOU ALL."

Hardy also liked several fans tweets that showed unhappiness with the way WWE has been using him lately.

WWE is likely using him the way they are right now on Raw because his contract with the company is set to expire in February 2020.

There's been no indication yet that the former Tag Team Champion will be signing a new deal with the company, so he could very well be a free agent early next year.

Despite this possibility though, it's sad that WWE is booking Hardy the way which they are, as the work he's done for them in the ring over the years and the impact he's had means he'll be a Hall of Famer in the near future.

Fans can only hope that if Hardy's recent tweet is an indication that he's going to be leaving WWE soon, he'll receive better booking before his departure.
