WWE announced on Monday their first two inductees into the Hall of Fame Class of 2020. Batista will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame alongside the nWo of Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, and X-Pac.

While it will be Hogan's, Nash's, Hall's, and Pac's second time being inducted, it will only be Batista's first, and he deserves it.

The Animal has had many memorable moments throughout his career, whether it be unforgettable segments on Raw and SmackDown, to unbelievable matches at WrestleMania.

He's almost done it all since he's a six-time world champion, winning the World Heavyweight Championship four times and the WWE Championship twice. He also holds the record for the longest reign as World Heavyweight Champion at 282 days.

Batista has also won the World Tag Team Championship three times (twice with Ric Flair and once with John Cena) and the WWE Tag Team Championship once (with Rey Mysterio). He also won the Royal Rumble twice (2005 and 2014).

The Animal brought his historic in-ring career to an end earlier this year at WrestleMania 35, losing vs Triple H.

Now he's being inducted into the Hall of Fame, let's take a look at five of the best moments from his career.

I Quit

After losing an 'I Quit' match for the WWE title with John Cena at Over the Limit in 2010, Batista opened Raw in a wheelchair, with his spotlight too, and claimed he would be pursuing legal action against Cena and WWE for his injuries from the previous night.

Batista said 'I Quit' to end the match vs Cena, but his opponent still delivered an Attitude Adjustment on him off the roof of a car after this was said, hence why The Animal was pursuing legal action.

During his angry and passionate promo, he was interrupted by Bret Hart, the Raw general manager at the time, who said he had to face an injured Randy Orton to qualify for a shot at WWE title against Cena.

Batista refused this offer and quit the company in a pit of rage after Hart named Orton winner by forfeit. This great heel promo did see him leave WWE in 2010, but it was a fantastic way to depart the company.

Battle of the fan favourites

At 2008's SummerSlam, two of WWE's biggest fan favourites at the time, Batista and John Cena, faced each other in a singles match. Not for a title, but to see who was the true king of that era.

For years, the two icons were the best WWE had to offer. They both climbed to the top at the same time, winning world titles at WrestleMania 21 and stayed there since, with one ruling Raw, while the other ruled SmackDown.

However, they never truly faced each other in their prime. This match was an opportunity to do just that. This clash was to decide who truly was the top dog.

Both men went back and forth with their signature moves accompanied by near falls in an epic encounter before the match was ultimately won by The Animal, who hit a Batista Bomb on Cena for the win.

Best Friend Betrayal

At Bragging Rights 2009, Batista was unsuccessful in winning the World Heavyweight Championship in a Fatal Four-Way match vs CM Punk, Rey Mysterio, and The Undertaker, who won the match.

During the match, Batista was pinning The Undertaker to possibly win the match and the title, but the pin was broken up by Mysterio. Being close friends at the time, it appeared as though it was just business and they'll go back to being friends after the clash.

However, after the bout, as it appeared Batista and Mysterio were mending their friendship, The Animal said Mysterio stabbed him in the back, adding he was going to rip his head off.

He proceeded to brutally attack Mysterio, turning heel in the process and kicking off a feud with his former best friend. This was the first time he had turned heel since Evolution and it produced a very emotional moment.

The Student Becomes The Champion

The biggest match of Batista's career has to be when he defeated Triple H to become World Heavyweight Champion at WrestleMania 21, the first world title reign of his career.

It was a true breakout moment for The Animal, as he showed in this match against The Game he can be relied upon to be a top face in the company. It was the defining moment of his career that pushed him into the top spot in WWE.

Their friendship built up through their time together in Evolution had completely evaporated by the time WrestleMania 21 arrived, and the fans only wanted one man to win, and that was The Animal.

Batista would beat Triple H to win the World Heavyweight Championship, securing his spot as a top guy in WWE for the rest of the 2000s. Of course, the way in which this match was booked is deserving of its own spot on this list.

The Decision

Batista earned his right to face either the World Heavyweight Champion or the WWE Champion at WrestleMania 21 after he won the Royal Rumble in 2005. Triple H, the World Heavyweight Champion at the time, knew personally of the threat of Batista.

The Game did everything he could to force The Animal to challenge JBL, the WWE Champion, instead at WrestleMania, even going as far as to hire someone to try to run Batista over with JBL’s limo to make it look like the WWE Champion.

Batista saw through the charade, and when it came to the contract signing for who he would challenge at WrestleMania, he teased Triple H and Ric Flair with a thumbs up while holding the SmackDown clipboard.

However, he quickly made this a thumbs down, to the surprise of The Game and Flair. He then took them both out before delivering a Batista Bomb through the table with Triple H and signing the Raw clipboard to confirm their match at WrestleMania 21.

Batista has had so many fantastic moments in his WWE career that it was hard to pick just five. One thing is for certain though, he definitely is worthy of a spot in the Hall of Fame.
