Adel Taarabt, remember him?The Moroccan winger is a kind of cult hero at Queens Park Rangers, where he spent six years of his career. He never fully established himself as a world-class Premier League footballer but does seem to possess incredible talent. Sadly, we didn't see his full potential in England, but Taarabt often gives us little flashes of what he is capable of. Tuesday night was a real example of that. The 30-year-old, now plying his trade at Benfica, absolutely destroyed a Zenit St Petersburg opponent with a filthy nutmeg.

When Aleksandr Yerokhin tried to close him down on the wing, Taarabt casually played the ball through his legs before sprinting off.

Check it out below:

Brutal. How many times do you see a player nutmeg another by using his studs to roll the ball forward - especially in the Champions League? Superb stuff.

Yerokhin, who was no doubt embarrassed by the skill, could do nothing but pull his opponent down for a foul.

Taarabt's skill was certainly just one highlight in what was a brilliant Benfica performance.

The Portuguese side won 3-0 in their final Champions League group match.

Sadly though, it wasn't enough to see them qualify for the knockout stage and instead, Taarabt will have to settle for ending careers in the Europa League after Christmas.
