CM Punk's amazing fantasy booking of Rusev and Lana's storyline on WWE Backstage

The storyline on Monday Night Raw involving Rusev, his real-life wife Lana and Bobby Lashley may be hated every week on social media, but numbers suggest that it's doing just fine for the larger audience.

On YouTube, segments involving the three have hit the biggest numbers for a Raw-related video every week, and this past Monday was no different.

The start of the show saw Lana and Rusev sign their 'divorce papers', and the end of it saw Bobby Lashley slammed through a table by the Bulgarian.

And the trend has continued, with that segment hitting 2.1 million views in less than two days, just shading the main event match between AJ Styles and Rey Mysterio.

The love triangle between Rusev, Lana and Bobby Lashley has been taken to extreme lengths recently

Lashley and Rusev will finally go one-on-one at WWE TLC this weekend in a Tables match, but it's clear that fans are very split on the storyline and there's every chance it could run into 2020.

With that in mind, CM Punk outlined his vision for what he'd do with the storyline if it was to drag on during WWE Backstage last night - and it was actually pretty entertaining.

"They have a match, they have a blow off," Punk started with his fantasy booking.

CM Punk though has ideas to spice the feud up

"I don't think Rusev wants to be involved with Lana anymore on-screen. So, Lana and Bobby go off and do their thing, but Lana grinds on the nerves, Bobby is sick of her.

"He leaves Lana too, they have another divorce. She gets another tag team to go after Bobby and Rusev, who have become best friends because they have the familiar: the ex-wife.

"This new tag team with Lana in tow go after them. What they do at WrestleMania, they put Lana in a shark cage because by WrestleMania the new tag team is already so sick of Lana that the loser of the match gets what's in the shark cage."

Punk actually continued by saying he has ideas for Lana for a Saudi Arabia WWE show, but FOX and WWE cut that from the clips they produce on social media as it could've hinted at something very controversial.

His vision actually sounds a lot more entertaining than the attacks and promos we've seen in the past few months, and he's not gone as far as sticking Lana on a pole like Vince Russo would've done.

Maybe there's a space for Punk on WWE's creative team with ideas like this...
