It's been quite the decade of sport.

The last 10 years have been full of twists and turns that have given us some incredible highs and of course, some terrible lows.

England being knocked out of Euro 2016 by Iceland, anyone?

But let's not focus on the negative stuff.

Instead, we want to take a look at some of the greatest sporting moments that happened between 2010 and 2020.

With the decade drawing to a close, The Sun have ranked the top 10 moments of the last 10 years.

Check them out below.

10 - Bradley Wiggins wins the Tour de France (2012)

Great Britain had to wait 103 years for a Tour de France triumph, so when Wiggins wore the famous Yellow Jersey up the Champs-Elysee to win the race, it was quite a massive moment.

Incredibly, Britain’s Team Sky have since claimed five more Tour de France titles in the following years.

9 - Women's Hockey gold medal (2016)

Great Britain secured their biggest Olympic medal haul at Rio 2016 and the most memorable gold came in the women’s hockey.

Team GB beat the world champions Holland on penalties with goalkeeper Maddie Hinch making herself a hero.

The dramatic shootout gripped the nation and even the 10 o'clock news was pushed back that night so we could all watch it unfold.

8 - England win on penalties (2018)

More penalty shootout drama. England are famously bad at pens and have been knockout out of World Cups three times after losing shootouts.

Beating Colombia on spot-kicks in 2018 was a massive moment and the highlight of the World Cup. What a summer that was for Gareth Southgate and his team.

7 - Anthony Joshua beats Wladimir Klitschko (2017)

A post-war record crowd of 90,000 at Wembley saw AJ beat Klitschko in his coming of age fight. In the 11th round, Joshua landed a huge uppercut and floored his opponent twice to win the bout.

He'd go on to sell-out the Principality Stadium in Cardiff twice and return to Wembley again before he lost and regained his heavyweight crown against Andy Ruiz Jr.

6 - Ryder Cup comeback (2012)

Europe's only away win in the Ryder Cup over the last decade came in 2012. It took a stunning comeback to win too.

Jose Maria Olazabal’s EU team were trailing the American's 10-6 going into the final day of play, but the likes of Luke Donald, Ian Poulter, Rory McIlroy, Justin Rose and Paul Lawrie all won their matches to help turn the tide.

5 - Manchester City win the Premier League title (2012)

It was the most dramatic moment in Premier League history. Man City needed a win on the final day to beat rivals United to the title but were losing 2-1 with QPR as the clock struck 90.

But two injury-time goals turned the game around and gave us the famous 'Aguerrroooooo!' moment. Since then, countless trophies have been won by the blue side of Manchester.

4 - Cricket World Cup win (2019)

England don't win many World Cups in any sport, but 2019 delivered one in very dramatic fashion.

After struggling to chase down a pretty modest New Zealand total, two incredibly lucky late sixes from Ben Stokes tied the match and sent it to a Super Over.

Even that finished level and England won only because they had hit more boundaries over the course of the game. The rule which saw them won has since been changed.

3 - Olympics Super Saturday (2012)

Team GB won three track-and-field golds in the space of 45 minutes at London 2012 on one famous Saturday evening.

Jessica Ennis completed her heptathlon triumph, Mo Farah won the 10,000m, and there was shock long-jump success thanks to unlikely hero Greg Rutherford.

Three golds in 45 minutes were added to the three already won that day, making it six in total. What a moment that was.

2 - Andy Murray wins Wimbledon (2013)

Before 2013, no Brit had been crowned Wimbledon men’s singles champion in 76 years.

But that summer, Murray conquered world number  one Novak Djokovic in the final on Centre Court. He did it in straight sets too and went on to win Wimbledon again three years later.

1 - Leicester City win the Premier League (2016)

It was the most unlikely story in British sport - not just of the last decade - but of all-time.

Leicester were 5000-1 to win the league in 2016 but stormed to glory and ended up finishing 10 points clear at the top.

Former non-league striker Jamie Vardy was named Footballer of the Year while unknown winger Riyad Mahrez scooped the PFA Player of the Year award.

N'Golo Kante established himself as one of the greatest midfielders in Europe that season and the title triumph was capped at the King Power Stadium as Andrea Bocelli serenaded the crowd.

There we have it, the top 10 sporting moments of the last decade.

It's impossible to argue with the number one spot. We'll probably never see anything like Leicester winning the title again.

There have been other great moments too - Super Saturday certainly deserves its place on the list, while none of us will soon forget Murray's first Wimbledon triumph.

What a decade it was. Here's to the next 10 years!
