We’re already approaching the halfway stage of the 2019/20 campaign. Time flies, doesn’t it?

But which players have seen their market values increase most since the start of the season?

Well, Transfermarkt have updated their ‘Market Values’ category and we’ve decided to focus on the top 30.

These footballers have all made a big impact since July and have seen their market values rocket as a result.

Let's begin...

30. Eduardo Camavinga | Rennes

Previous value: €4 million
Current value: €20 million

One of the youngest players on this list, 17-year-old Eduardo Camavinga is one to keep an eye on over the coming seasons.

The talented young midfielder has made 17 appearances at club level this season and has also been capped by France's Under-21 side.

29. Scott McTominay | Man Utd

Previous value: €12 million
Current value: €28 million

In at 29, it’s Scott ‘McSauce’ McTominay - Jose Mourinho’s favourite footballer.

Mourinho described McTominay as Man Utd’s best player earlier this week and the Scottish midfielder, who recently turned 23, has become an increasingly important member of the Red Devils’ squad this season.

28. Daniel James | Man Utd

Previous value: €12 million
Current value: €28 million

Signed from Championship side Swansea City in the summer, Dan James has proved that he’s good enough to play at the highest level.

The Welshman started the season with a bang, scoring three goals in his first four appearances for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side.

27. Filip Kostic | Eintracht Frankfurt

Previous value: €22 million
Current value: €38 million

Eintracht Frankfurt aren’t performing quite as well as last season at the time of writing but the club’s No. 10, Filip Kostic, has seen his market value rise by €16 million in recent months.

The Serbia international has scored six goals and registered six assists in 24 appearances this season.

26. Youri Tielemans | Leicester City

Previous value: €38 million
Current value: €55 million

Youri Tielemans must have had plenty of offers on the table in the summer following his loan spell at Leicester, but the Belgian midfielder decided to sign a permanent contract with the Foxes - and what a decision that’s turning out to be.

In 19 games this season, Tielemans has been directly involved in 10 goals (five goals, five assists) and is one of many reasons why Leicester are currently second in the Premier League table.

25. Douglas Luiz | Aston Villa

Previous value: €2.5 million
Current value: €20 million

Signed from Manchester City in the summer, following a couple of years on loan at Girona, Douglas Luiz has played in 14 of Aston Villa’s 16 Premier League fixtures this season, scoring two goals.

24. Gabriel Martinelli | Arsenal

Previous value: N/A
Current value: €18 million

It seems every time Gabriel Martinelli plays, he scores.

The 18-year-old, who Arsenal signed from Ituano in the summer, has already bagged eight goals in 14 games for the Gunners. That record becomes even more impressive when you consider he’s only started in seven of those matches.

The Brazil Under-23 international is a massive talent with a big future ahead of him.

23. Joe Willock | Arsenal

Previous value: N/A
Current value: €18 million

Another Arsenal youngster, Joe Willock has played 19 games so far this season, netting four goals.

The 20-year-old, who has also represented England’s Under-21s four times, still feels like one for the future but is clearly a player of considerable talent.

22. Matheus Henrique | Gremio

Previous value: €4 million
Current value: €22 million

Matheus Henrique made his Brazil debut earlier this year and has been linked with Barcelona.

Gremio might be willing to cash in on the 21-year-old midfielder in 2020 - provided the price is right, of course.

21. Joaquín Correa | Lazio

Previous value: €20 million
Current value: €38 million

With seven goals from 16 games this season, Lazio forward Joaquin Correa has seen his value jump to €38 million since July.

The Argentine forward is 25 years old, but perhaps he's a slightly late developer.

20. Mason Greenwood | Man Utd

Previous value: N/A
Current value: €20 million

The most promising young striker to emerge from Man Utd’s academy since Marcus Rashford, Mason Greenwood appears to possess all the tools required to become a top striker.

The 18-year-old, who has been compared to Robin van Persie, has already scored six goals for the Red Devils this season and is very highly rated by coaches at Old Trafford, including Solskjaer.

19. James Maddison | Leicester City

Previous value: €40 million
Current value: €60 million

You suspect it would take a lot more than €60 million to tempt Leicester into selling James Maddison.

The Coventry-born midfielder, who made his England debut last month, has netted seven goals and provided three assists in 17 games for the Foxes this campaign.

Still just 23 years old, Maddison may have the pick of his clubs at the end of the season - but why would he want to leave the King Power Stadium?

18. Harry Maguire | Man Utd

Previous value: €50 million
Current value: €70 million

Despite being signed for £80 million (€95 million) in the summer, Transfermarkt only valued Harry Maguire to be worth around the €50 million mark.

But his value has increased in their eyes by an additional €20 million since July.

17. Fabinho | Liverpool

Previous value: €50 million
Current value: €70 million

Is Fabinho the world’s best holding midfielder right now? There aren’t many, if any, better.

The Brazilian has been worth his weight in gold for Liverpool over the past 18 months and is now valued at €70 million.

That said, would Liverpool be prepared to sell him for that price? Absolutely no chance.

16. Andy Robertson | Liverpool

Previous value: €60 million
Current value: €80 million

Andy Robertson is the world’s best left-back right now in the eyes of most football fans.

It’s incredible to think that Liverpool paid Hull City just £8 million(!) to sign the Scotland international in July 2017.

15. Kevin De Bruyne | Man City

Previous value: €130 million
Current value: €150 million

An early contender for the PFA’s Premier League Player of the Season award, Kevin De Bruyne has been excellent during the opening months of the current campaign.

With four goals and 10 assists to his name already, the Belgian attacking midfielder has seen his market value increase by another €20 million.

14. Raheem Sterling | Man City

Previous value: €140 million
Current value: €160 million

Raheem Sterling is now worth an astronomical €160 million thanks to his performances for Man City this season.

The 25-year-old already has 15 goals and five assists this season. His improvement under Pep Guardiola has been dramatic.

13. Reinier | Flamengo

Previous value: €3 million
Current value: €25 million

Part of Flamengo’s triumphant side that recently won the Copa Libertadores, 17-year-old Reinier has scored six goals in 15 games this season.

The Brazil Under-17 international is already valued at €25 million, which suggests the teenager has a very bright future ahead of him.

12. Tyrone Mings | Aston Villa

Previous value: €5 million
Current value: €28 million

Tyrone Mings has impressed while playing for both Aston Villa and England this season and has subsequently seen his value shoot up €23 million since July.

The 26-year-old centre-back is a proper leader and won’t be short of potential suitors if Villa are relegated back to the Championship next spring.

11. Gaetano Castrovilli | Fiorentina

Previous value: N/A
Current value: €25 million

Snapped up by Fiorentina two years ago, Gaetano Castrovilli is now playing in the first team - and impressing - following two years on loan at Cremonese.

The 22-year-old midfielder also recently made his debut for the Italian national team.

10. Dejan Kulusevski | Parma (on loan from Atalanta)

Previous value: €1 million
Current value: €25 million

Inter Milan and Manchester United are just two of the clubs who have been linked with Dejan Kulusevski.

The 19-year-old Swedish midfielder has seen his value sour by €24 million thanks to his recent performances with loan side Parma.

9. Ansu Fati | Barcelona

Previous value: N/A
Current value: €25 million

Ansu Fati became the youngest goalscorer in Champions League history earlier this week when he netted the winner for Barcelona against Inter Milan.

The 17-year-old, who also became Barça’s youngest La Liga goalscorer earlier this season, was an unknown quantity in the summer. Now he’s widely regarded as one of the most exciting young footballers in Europe.

8. Erling Haaland | RB Salzburg

Previous value: €5 million
Current value: €30 million

Erling Haaland, 19, has every top club in Europe monitoring him closely after scoring 28 goals in just 21 games for Red Bull Salzburg this season.

The Norway international was unable to add to his tally against Liverpool on Tuesday night but that won’t deter Manchester United and maybe a couple of other clubs from making a move for the teenager in the New Year.

7. Caglar Soyuncu | Leicester City

Previous value: €15 million
Current value: €40 million

Replacing Maguire was never going to be easy, but Caglar Soyuncu has filled the void left by the England international with aplomb so far this season.

The Turkey international’s centre-back partnership with Jonny Evans has been rock solid.

6. Tammy Abraham | Chelsea

Previous value: €20 million
Current value: €50 million

Frank Lampard deserves huge credit for putting his faith in Tammy Abraham, who has scored 13 goals and registered five assists for Chelsea already this season.

The 22-year-old endured a tricky start to the season - missing a decisive penalty in the Super Cup final against Liverpool back in August - but responded in the best possible way and is now the Blues’ first-choice centre-forward.

5. Joao Felix | Atletico Madrid

Previous value: €70 million
Current value: €100 million

Joao Felix was signed by Atletico Madrid for £113 million (€126 million) this summer, but Transfermarkt valued him at €70 million - which was probably a more accurate reflection of his ability.

The 20-year-old looked absolutely brilliant in pre-season but has flattered to deceive in La Liga, scoring just two goals in 12 appearances.

Despite that, Felix’s value has still risen to €100 million.

4. Trent Alexander-Arnold | Liverpool

Previous value: €80 million
Current value: €110 million

In terms of attacking right-backs, Trent Alexander-Arnold is unquestionably the best in the business right now.

The Liverpool full-back, who only turned 21 in October, may eventually play further up the pitch as his career develops because his passing is so, so good.

While it’s still early days, it wouldn’t be a surprise if Alexander-Arnold ends up spending his whole career at Anfield.

3. Sadio Mane | Liverpool

Previous value: €120 million
Current value: €150 million

Lionel Messi is a huge fan, which tells you all you need to know about Sadio Mane.

Liverpool’s Senegalese winger has developed into a world-class player at Anfield and has added another €30 million to his price tag over the past six months.

2. Mason Mount | Chelsea

Previous value: €12 million
Current value: €45 million

The second biggest rise in market value goes to Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount, who has taken his opportunity to shine in the Blues’ first team with both hands this season.

The 20-year-old, who impressed on loan at Derby last season, hasn’t looked back since being handed his debut at the start of the season.

And his value has risen by an astonishing €35 million in recent months as a result.

Expect that figure to increase even more between now and next summer - especially if he features for England at next summer’s European Championships.

1. Lautaro Martinez | Inter Milan

Previous value: €30 million
Current value: €80 million

But the biggest rise in market value goes to Inter Milan's exciting forward Lautaro Martinez, who has scored 13 goals and set up three more in just 21 appearances this season.

The 22-year-old, who has also netted nine goals in 17 games for Argentina, will be one of European football's most sought-after strikers next summer at this rate.

He's improving all the time is market value has shot up an astronomical €50 million over the past few months. Don't be surprised if it reaches €100 million by next summer.

Other players who narrowly missed the top 30 include Ben Chilwell (€50 million), Ricardo Pereira (€40 million) and Norwich’s Todd Cantwell (€15 million).

All the players mentioned deserve praise, of course - although credit must also go to their teammates and coaches for helping to bring the best out of them over recent months.
