At long last, Ian Wright will be back on the BBC tomorrow night as he re-joins Gary Lineker and Alan Shearer on Match of the Day.The Arsenal legend has been away in Australia to take part in ITV’s ‘I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!’ for the last three weeks and has recently returned to England.Wright, who was joined in the jungle by the likes of James Haskell and Caitlyn Jenner, finished the series in eighth place. The BBC pundit, along with his fellow campmates, had no contact with the world outside of the camp. And it’s safe to say, Wright missed a lot of goings on in the football world.

Most notably, Unai Emery’s sacking at his former club Arsenal.

And who better to break the news to him than his fellow Match of the Day colleague Shearer.

Take a look at the footage below:

Wright was speaking to Shearer just moments after leaving the jungle and viewers got to see his first reaction during Thursday night’s ‘I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! Coming Out’ show.

Shearer said: “See you back on Match of the Day on the 14th December.

“Emery’s gone. Pochettino’s gone.

“I hope you don’t bring back that high-pitched screaming that we saw in the jungle doing those trials with James (Haskell).”

Whilst in the jungle, Wright took part in challenges such as walking a 300ft-high plank, drinking blended pigs’ penises and holding six witchetty grubs in his mouth.

As for the Gunners, they faced a different challenge in hunting for Emery’s replacement.

However, for the time being, Freddie Ljungberg remains at the helm in a caretaker capacity, sitting in the hot seat for the fifth time on Sunday.
