Friday the 13th - it's meant to be unlucky for some, right?

Not if you're a Liverpool supporter.

The Merseyside club have treated their fans to some brilliant news over the past 24 hours.

It all started at 11am, when forward Sadio Mane was announced as the Premier League's player of the month for November.

He scored three goals and also made an assist in four games for Liverpool, who stormed to victory in each of those games.

Soon after Mane won player of the month, Jurgen Klopp was announced as manager of the month.

Incredibly, the German has now scooped the award in three out of four months this season, winning it in August, September and now November.

It's clear the Reds are dominating domestically so far this campaign. So, two awards out of two isn't a bad Friday the 13th.

But the day soon got even better. Over lunchtime, Liverpool announced that Klopp has signed a new long-term deal with the club, extending his contract until 2024.

Given the previous speculation that he could soon take a break from management, fans will no doubt be delighted to hear Klopp will be at Anfield for the next five years.

And he wasn't the only one to sign a new deal. At 6pm, Liverpool announced that James Milner has extended his contract.

He may not be the most fashionable footballer, but Milner is certainly an influential dressing room figure at Anfield and will be important to any success going forward.

On top of contract extensions and monthly Premier League awards, Liverpool are closing in on the signing of RB Salzburg winger Takumi Minamino.

The highly-rated Japan international is set to join for less than £8 million due to his release clause and according to journalist Fabrizio Romano, all that's left is for him to pass a medical.

With Minamino's deal all but confirmed, two new contract extensions and two Premier League awards, it's been a very special Friday the 13th for Liverpool fans.
