Port Vale chairman Bill Bratt says the club will deal internally with a reported argument between manager Jim Gannon and his assistant Geoff Horsfield.

Gannon, who took charge last month, is said to have got off the team bus following the alleged row as the team travelled to Aldershot ahead of today's League Two fixture. The former Stockport boss is then understood to have returned to Vale Park for talks with Bratt, while Horsfield also got off the bus later in the journey.

Goalkeeper Stuart Tomlinson had posted on Twitter: "Awesome events on the team bus."

He went on to add: "Someone has left the bus."

But Bratt told BBC Radio Stoke: "It is an internal matter that will be dealt with on Monday."

It is not known whether Gannon or Horsfield will attend their fixture at the Recreation Ground.
