Jamie Vardy is one of the most in-form strikers in Europe right now.

The Leicester City star is on a run of scoring in eight straight Premier League games.

His form stretches way back to October 19, when he netted during the Foxes 2-1 win against Burnley.

Just 10 days before that, the Vardy's made headlines for all the wrong reasons.

Jamie's wife Rebekah was involved in a very public spat with Coleen Rooney, who accused her of leaking private stories to British tabloids.

The beef quickly went viral on social media and football fans couldn't help but find the whole situation hilarious.

It no doubt brought a lot of unwanted attention to the Vardy household.

But here's an interesting stat - the Leicester striker has actually scored in every single fixture he's played since Rebekah's beef with Coleen.

Is that a coincidence? Well, probably. But it's still quite amusing.

Vardy actually has 11 goals in eight games, netting once against Burnley, Crystal Palace, Arsenal, Brighton, Everton and Watford.

The 32-year-old bagged a hat-trick against Southampton and two goals against Aston Villa last weekend too.

Not bad at all. Vardy's performances saw him named the Premier League's Player of the Month in October and he's currently the division's top scorer too.

But will he be able to continue this fine run of form? Well, history actually suggests that it's possible.

Back in 2015, Vardy scored in 11 consecutive Premier League games to set a new top-flight record.

With Leicester's next fixture against Norwich, it's not too hard to see him stretching his current run to nine.

But with matches against Manchester City and Liverpool to follow, it will be very impressive if Vardy equals his record of 11-straight games.

Should he do so, he could break his own record against West Ham on December 28. It's unlikely of course, but not impossible.

And it's all thanks to Rebekah's beef with Coleen. Well, kind of.
