Philippe Coutinho scored a hat-trick for Bayern Munich as his club stormed to victory against Werder Bremen. The Brazilian scored his first goal on the stroke of half-time to equalise for his side after the visitors took an early lead at Allianz Arena. He added his second just after the hour mark before completing his hat-trick in the 78th minute as Bayern ran riot.Robert Lewandowski netted a brace himself and Thomas Muller also go in on the act as the Bavarian side won 6-1. It was Coutinho's day though as on top of scoring three himself, he also provided two assists.

The forward's second goal was the pick of the bunch, as he latched on to a lobbed through ball before chipping his effort over the goalkeeper.

Check it out below:

Superb. The goal he scored to complete his hat-trick was also a stunner.

Coutinho curled his long-range effort in off the post.

You can see that one below:

Just world-class. Coutinho's first goal may have been a simple tap-in, but it rounded off a brilliant team move.

What a day for the Brazilian.

The result means Bayern push up to fourth in the Bundesliga table. They are still four points behind league leaders Borussia Monchengladbach after making a poor start to the season.

But if Coutinho and his teammates can keep winning games with the dominance they have done today, then the gap to the top will certainly be closing soon.
