Liverpool Football Club have enjoyed a fantastic week.

On Tuesday, the Reds qualified for the knockout stage of the Champions League with a 2-0 win against Red Bull Salzburg, securing top spot in the process.

Then on Thursday, it was revealed that Liverpool are closing in on a £7.25 million deal to sign Takumi Minamino from Salzburg in January.

According to Melissa Reddy of the Independent, the Premier League table-toppers have agreed a deal in principle to sign the Japan international next month.

Friday the 13th is meant to be an unlucky day but that definitely wasn't the case for Liverpool.

Sadio Mane was named Premier League Player of the Month for November and Jurgen Klopp won the Manager of the Month award.

More good news was to come on Friday with the announcement that Klopp has signed a contract extension that will keep him at Anfield until 2024.

"It’s really about that I wanted to stay a part of this club, that’s how it is. Our relationship is pretty special so we want it to continue," the German said, per Liverpool's website.

The Reds weren't done with announcing contract extensions. James Milner's new deal, which will keep him at the club until 2022, was confirmed on Friday evening.

Then on Saturday, Liverpool were in action against Watford at Anfield.

A 2-0 victory courtesy of Mohamed Salah's brace extended their unbeaten league run to 34 matches.

It was just the result they needed - and then they settled in to watch second-placed Leicester City drop points at home to Norwich City.

The Foxes were held to a 1-1 draw which means Liverpool's lead at the top of the table is now 10 points.

So, what a week it's been for the Reds.

Everything is going their way this season and it would be a shock if it didn't end in a maiden Premier League title.
