Can we just give Liverpool the Premier League title now?It may only be December but the Reds’ lead at the top of the table appears to be unassailable. They are 10 points clear of second-placed Leicester after a day in which results went their way.In the early kick-off, Jurgen Klopp’s side defeated Watford 2-0 thanks to a brace from Mohamed Salah. Then at 3pm, Leicester were held to a 1-1 draw by Norwich City.

Norwich have been on a miserable run of form lately, winning just one of their previous 11 games heading into the Leicester match.

But they managed to secure a point at the King Power Stadium, producing a resilient display to frustrate Brendan Rodgers’ team.

And while Daniel Farke’s side still sit in the relegation zone, they are quickly becoming every Liverpool supporter’s second-favourite team.

The Canaries have taken points from Liverpool’s two main title rivals - Manchester City and Leicester City - and also beat Everton this season.

Norwich City help Liverpool:

  • September 14: Norwich City 3-2 Man City
  • November 23: Everton 0-2 Norwich City
  • December 14: Leicester City 1-1 Norwich City

Oh, and Norwich also helped Liverpool get their season off to a thumping start when they were beaten 4-1 at Anfield in August.

Liverpool fans are now expressing their admiration for the Canaries, even starting a ‘Norwich appreciation thread’ on Reddit.

Twitter user @DreamTheaterAl wrote: “Gotta love Norwich, thrashed at Anfield. Beat Man City. Don't win a game for ages but then beat Everton. Then go to Leicester on an 8 game unbeaten run and get a draw. Up the Canaries”.

@KhanUR1983 added: “Give Farke his knighthood right now. What a man.”

It’s a Pukki party at Anfield right now.
