It's hard to remember a more dominant performance from a Premier League midfielder than Kevin De Bruyne versus Arsenal yesterday.

The Belgian must have been licking his lips at the prospect of charging at the likes of Matteo Guendouzi, but he even surpassed his own lofty standards.

It looked like an adult stealing the ball from a group of U10 players, De Bruyne was just that good.

The Manchester City star scored two outrageous goals at the Emirates, while also laying one a plate for Raheem Sterling.

Bernd Leno also sensationally thwarted the Belgian's 25-yard shot, denying him what would have been one of the greatest ever hat-tricks.

But it wasn't just his efficiency going forward, oh no, because De Bruyne was also tracking back and showcasing energy levels that were about ten fold higher than his counterpart, Mesut Ozil.

Below, you can watch De Bruyne's highlights and simply enjoy a master at work.

DE BRUYNE'S HIGHLIGHTS VS ARSENAL

What. A. Player.

There simply isn't a better all-round midfielder in world football right now.

De Bruyne is the only player in the Premier League that even Liverpool fans are still envious of.

The thought of the Belgian in Jurgen Klopp's team supplying the likes of Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah is enough to give any rival supporter across the country nightmares.

ANALYSIS

GiveMeSport's Danny Ryan:

I'm going to say it: Kevin De Bruyne is the greatest midfielder I've ever seen in the Premier League.

The way he always seems to prove decisive in big games is testament to his winning mentality and his technique on the ball is right up there with Lionel Messi.

Every time he delivers a cross or takes a shot, you know it's going to end up exactly where De Bruyne intended it to go.

That's a skill that is priceless in the modern game and De Bruyne is the only midfielder in the world capable of doing that right now.

Liverpool are the best team on the planet, there's no denying that whatsoever, but even they don't have a midfielder in the same stratosphere as De Bruyne!
