Cristiano Ronaldo produced one of his best performances of the season during Juventus' 3-1 victory over Udinese.

In truth, the Portuguese had made a slow start to his second season in Italy, but it took him just 37 minutes to rack up a brace at the Allianz Stadium.

Finding the net with a superb half volley and then doubling up with a one-on-one finish was enough to move him up the goal-scoring charts and assuage any of Maurizio Sarri's concerns.

And by the time Leonardo Bonucci put Juventus 3-1 up on 45 minutes, there could be no doubting that the Old Lady were going to bag three points and keep pace with Antonio Conte's Inter Milan.

However, while there might not have been a hat-trick goal for Ronaldo, there was still time for him to make headlines with a classy moment in the second-half.

Ronaldo vs Udinese

When Gonzalo Higuain was substituted for Douglas Costa in the 80th minute, the ex-Chelsea striker removed the captain's armband - which he'd inherited from Bonucci - and passed it to Ronaldo.

But Ronaldo decided against wearing the armband, instead striding across the pitch to find Blaise Matuidi and helping attach it to his arm.

It's believed that Ronaldo made the decision because Matuidi has played for Juventus for one year longer than himself. Very classy stuff.

GIVEMESPORT's Kobe Tong says

What's that about Ronaldo being selfish? Don't believe everything you see in social media comments sections.

Sure, maybe there are errand clips that imply Ronaldo is in it for himself, but those conspiracy theories pale in comparison to vast evidence of the 34-year-old's generosity.

Ronaldo might love an individual award more than the average footballer, but he's more than aware that the sport is a team game and gives everything to ensure optimal performances from his club.

And that's not to mention the countless examples of his charity work that serve as character testimony.

Besides, if Ronaldo was as selfish as some fans would have you believe, why wouldn't he have held on to the armband for dear life and taken the leadership credit through the final 10 minutes?
