The Usos haven't been seen in the WWE for a couple of months, but they're expected to be back in time for the Royal Rumble.

Jimmy and Jey Uso haven't been seen in the WWE since an episode of Monday Night Raw in late July.

It was here that they had their last match to date in WWE as well, which was a triple threat match vs The Revival and The O.C. for the Raw Tag Team Championship, a match which they lost.

That leave of absence for the six-time tag team champions could soon be over if recent reports are to be believed.

According to Sportskeeda's Tom Colohue, The Usos will be returning to WWE soon. They're expected to be back by the Royal Rumble so the company can use them in the build towards WrestleMania.

As for their absence, Colohue explained that since they have a limited-term contract, they only have to work so many dates, which is why we haven't seen them recently.

This is also why we haven't seen Naomi recently as well as she's on a similar kind of deal with WWE.

The Usos had a similar absence following WrestleMania last year and returned, so expect them to come back once more just before or at the Royal Rumble in 2020.

This leave of absence contradicts reports that The Usos have been kept off WWE TV indefinitely following Jimmy Uso's DUI arrest in July which stopped the duo performing at SummerSlam in Canada the following month.

It's unclear as to which brand The Usos would be assigned to once they return to WWE, as they were not part of the recent WWE Draft.

However, since SmackDown's Tag Team division is already loaded with The New Day, The Revival and Heavy Machinery, it wouldn't be surprising to see The Usos assigned to Raw in order to balance the books.

We'll have to wait and see which brand WWE decides to assign The Usos to. Nevertheless, Jimmy and Jey Uso would be a welcomed return to WWE's tag team division whichever brand they join.
