Last night’s 29 turnovers in the 100-79 victory for the Kings in San Francisco marked the most by any winning NBA team since 2014 and both teams totalled 50 turnovers combined.

It was evident that both teams made countless errors and Sacramento wouldn’t have stood a chance against a stronger team, but coaches and players were equally as perplexed by the fumbles.

The Kings have won four of their past five fixtures and ended a five-game losing streak to the Warriors who are without stars, Klay Thompson and Steph Curry. Sacramento’s Bogdan Bogdanovic led his team with a game-high 25 points, adding five rebounds and five assists, he was 9-of-11 from the field and 4-of-3 from three. Marvin Bagley III added 17 points and a team-high six rebounds, whilst Buddy Hield knocked down 19 points.

The victors shot 60.3% from the field, with 10-of-22 from beyond the arc whilst the Warriors only hit 39% of their field attempts and 24% in threes. But despite their slightly better shooting stats, the Kings can’t expect to go on winning with this many turnovers and need to work on making better decisions.

Willie Cauley-Stein led the Warriors with 14 points on 7-of-9 shooting and snatched a season-high six steals. Damion Lee sand Alec Burks hit 13 and 11 points respectively. Golden State lost their fourth straight game setting their record at an NBA-worst of 5-23. Veteran Draymond Green was almost speechless at his team’s performance and is evidently frustrated, Green said: "We lost by 20… I ain't never seen that s--- before... We sucked. In every way, shape and form."

In another blow for Golden State’s injury-riddled team as last night’s 79 points were the worst scored in a home game under Head Coach Steve Kerr as inconsistency appears to be their new motto.

Regardless of their fumbling performance, the Kings are positive this only marks good things to come and are even hoping to regain injured guard De’Aaron Fox by next week. They face the Charlotte Hornets tomorrow.

Lakers 101, Hawks 96

With slightly better turnover stats (22), LeBron James led the Lakers to their 14th straight victory on the road nudging them past the Atlanta Hawks by five points. James hit 32 points in the 101-96 win, making 12-of-21 from the field and adding 13 rebounds, seven assists and three blocks which extends LA’s overall winning streak to seven.

James didn’t act alone as the second part of his duo, Anthony Davis, also put up 27 points and 13 rebounds to secure his 12th double-double.

Trae Young led Atlanta in points and assists with 30 and seven respectively, shooting 9-for-23 from the field, including three three-pointers. This marks the 13th time Young has hit 30+ points so far this season. Jabari Parker put up 12 points as Cam Reddish and Damian Jones both contributed 10 points as the Hawks take their fourth consecutive loss.

However, the win didn’t go unchallenged as the Hawks remained in the game until the end, coming as close as 98-96 with 19.1 seconds on the clock off the back of two free throws by De’Andre Hunter. But James retaliated with one-of-two free throws at 15.2 seconds remaining.
Hopes of tying the 96-99 game were dashed as Atlanta’s rookie Cam Reddish missed a three which Danny Green rebounded only to collect a foul and make both free-throws, finally shutting down the game.

The Lakers now tie with the Milwaukee Bucks for the best record in the league and head to Indiana to take on the Pacers this Wednesday whilst the Hawks take on the New York Knicks.
