After taking out Kevin Owens on Monday Night Raw last week, Seth Rollins has continued to up the ante with his new heel persona. It wasn't a shock to many, but Rollins aligned himself with the AOP - Akam and Rezar - after weeks of teasing, and he became a bad guy for the first time since 2016.A much-needed turn indeed after fans started to turn against him a couple of months ago, and he finally seems to have gotten his edge back that he was sorely lacking.Whilst he's now a heel though, Rollins showed babyface-like tendencies by saying he's trying to do the best for the WWE Universe, and that he wants to lead Raw into the next decade. But he said that anyone who doesn't want to walk into battle with him will have his will forced upon them, and if that doesn't work, his new sidekicks AOP will force their will upon them - bad news for the Raw roster.

Rollins' words made it sound as though Owens will be out of commission for a little bit, and later on in the evening we found out who his next target would be - Rey Mysterio.

The United States Champion handed Owens his steel pipe the week prior as he hunted down AOP, and the trio came down to the ring for revenge.

In a very condescending manner, Rollins told Mysterio he didn't want to fight as he lay on the mat following a brutalising from Akam and Rezar, but that wasn't to be all.

As he looked to be leaving the ring, Rollins changed his mind, hit the ropes and Stomped the lights out of Mysterio in the middle of the ring.

Not long after, Rollins challenged Mysterio to a United States Championship match on next week's episode of Raw, despite earlier in the night there being a gauntlet match to earn the right to face Rey for his belt - which ended in a No Contest.

That challenge was accepted, and we already know the result of that match as the December 23 edition of Raw was taped immediately after the show went off-air last night, but we will not spoil that for you just yet.

With no WWE Championship around currently - Brock Lesnar on hiatus being the reason for that - the US Title has become the top male title on Raw, and Rollins is looking to add that to his collection once again.
