Boring VAR chat has dominated almost every Premier League weekend this season.

Instead of talking about the actual football, we often find ourselves talking about the pointlessness of VAR and some of the questionable decisions the system has made.

But here at GIVEMESPORT, we want to forget all about the technology.

That's why, each week, we work out how the Premier League table would look without VAR.

To do that, we identify all of the overturned VAR decisions from the previous gameweek and work out the result of that particular match if it hadn't interfered.

In gameweek 17, we had multiple overturned VAR decisions.

Sadio Mane and Michail Antonio had goals disallowed - although that didn't affect both Liverpool and West Ham registering wins.

But the big incident of the weekend came at Stamford Bridge. Dan Gosling's 86th-minute winner was initially flagged offside but VAR rightly overturned it.

So, how have the weekend's VAR incidents affected our Premier League table?

1st | Liverpool | Points: 47 | Points difference: -2

Game: Watford (H)

Incident: Sadio Mane's 50th-minute header was disallowed after VAR adjudged him to be marginally offside.

Outcome without VAR (LIVERPOOL WIN): Mane's header would have put Liverpool 2-0 ahead and pretty much sealed all three points. Instead, the Reds had to wait until injury-time to add a second to secure a 2-0 win.

2nd | Man City | Points: 38 | Points difference: +3

Game: Bournemouth (H)

Incident: Dan Gosling's 84th-minute winner was initially flagged for offside but VAR replays showed he was clearly onside

Outcome without VAR (DRAW): Gosling made it 1-0 to Bournemouth with just six minutes left. Without VAR awarding the goal, the match would probably have ended in a 0-0 draw.
