Last month at Survivor Series, Dominick Mysterio got his revenge on Brock Lesnar for a savage beatdown he received in September.

Lesnar dragged Dominick from the crowd on Raw many months ago after brutalising his father Rey, and he would go months before getting his hands on the Beast Incarnate.

He hit a 619 AND a Frog Splash on the WWE Champion, but even after that he still received a German Suplex for his troubles.

In the brief amount of time we saw Dominick inside the ring, fans were excited and some were even demanding we see him in a WWE ring immediately for a match.

And Rey confirmed in a conference call yesterday that Dominick will commence training with the WWE in the early part of 2020, and there is hope that he will be ready to compete later in the year.

That means we could yet see a tag team between father and son, and no doubt a lot of fans want to see that, and they could definitely bring something different to the main roster.

Everyone can see there's a clear size discrepancy between the two though - Dominick towers over his dad considerably - but he can still fly about the ring as he showed last month.

Whilst it doesn't look like he's going to be a luchador like his dad, Rey is jealous of some of the things Dominick can already do without WWE's guidance.

"I think he is definitely creating his own path and his own style," Rey told The Mirror.

"But, as we all do at some point, we tend to fit patterns to our favourite wrestlers, and the people we grew up watching and who inspired us.

Believe it or not, as heavy and as big as he is, he is doing a lot of stuff I wish I could have done from the early days of my career.

"He is very light on his feet and is learning how to control his body, so I think it is going to be a combination and mix of styles."
