The last decade of Premier League football has been pretty incredible, hasn’t it?

We’ve seen the collapse of Manchester United, Sergio Aguero’s incredible injury-time title winner, Leicester winning the league despite being 5000/1 odds and Manchester City achieving 100 points.

As the decade draws to a close, GIVEMESPORT have dished out the awards.

Every Premier League club’s best player of the decade, every Premier League club’s most embarrassing defeat of the decade and every Premier League club’s most overlooked player of the decade have all been named.

Of course, to rank them, we needed to give our own opinion at times.

But there’s no opinion involved in the overall Premier League table of the decade.

With help from the BBC, we’ve compiled the entire table of the decade based on points-per-game.

1st-10th

As we've mentioned, there's no surprised to see City top the league considering they've won the title four times this decade - earning 198 points in the last two seasons.

Many might be surprised to see Manchester United second. However, under Sir Alex Ferguson, they did win the title in 2010/11 and 2012/13 - as well as finishing runners-up on three occasions.

Current league leaders Liverpool find themselves fifth, while Tottenham and Arsenal are separated by just 0.02 points-per-game having won and lost the same amount of games this decade. Incredible.

Sheffield United make the top 10 for their start to this Premier League campaign, while 2015/16 champions Leicester are ninth.

11th-20th

Plenty of teams no longer in the Premier League feature in this section with Stoke, Swansea, West Brom, Blackburn and Bolton all having a respectable points-per-game ratio during their spell in the top-flight.

West Ham have won more points than many of the teams above them, but their PPG has taken a hit.

21st-30th

It's perhaps surprising to see Aston Villa as low as 30th averaging pretty much one point every game. It's perhaps equally surprising to see that League One Sunderland have played almost 300 times in the Premier League this decade.

31st-37th

The worst side in the Premier League this decade? Huddersfield Town. They managed just 53 points from their 76 games in the top-flight during their two campaigns.

Meanwhile, Middlesbrough and Reading picked up 28 points during their one and only seasons decade.

Conclusion

So, there we have our Premier League table of the decade. City are the only side to pick up more than two points per game - mainly thanks to their last two campaigns.

United and Chelsea are within seven points of each other as they battle for second, while Liverpool have just edged out Arsenal and Tottenham for fourth - mainly thanks to their incredible form this season.

It will certainly be interesting to see how the league table will look in the next decade. We'd imagine Liverpool might be higher than fourth, while the same can be said about Leicester.

And, as this rate, Arsenal's will consider themselves to be fortunate to be sixth.
