It wasn't long ago that Cristiano Ronaldo was having a difficult season - by his ridiculous standards, anyway.Ronaldo hadn't scored for four Juventus games in a run of one goal in six games back in mid-November, a run that most wouldn't worry about but is a proper drought for the superstar. He's been on fire ever since, though.Ronaldo scored against Sassuolo, Lazio and Bayern Leverkusen before bagging a brace against Udinese in a 3-1 win. That took his tally to 11 goals in 19 Juventus games this season.

And then he provided a brilliant reminder that he is in fact a superhuman footballer with a brilliant goal against Sampdoria on Wednesday.

Right before half-time, with the game at 1-1, Alex Sandro whipped in a very high cross to the back post.

The ball must have been seven, eight feet in the air as the defender underneath it prepared to jump.

What he didn't count on, however, was Ronaldo, who had already jumped to meet the soaring ball.

He towers above everyone else, meets the ball with his head, and smashes it home for 2-1.

You can check it out below:

It really does look superhuman - how on earth does he time that, get that high, and connect well enough to beat the goalkeeper?

It had to be a pretty special goal just to grab the headlines, honestly, as Juve's opener was also brilliant.

A huge cross-field ball found Paulo Dybala on the corner of the box and, going against conventional wisdom, the Argentine decided to strike it first-time.

It drilled into the far corner of the net in a display of absolutely incredible technique.

You can see that here:

Juve certainly have a pretty fantastic attack right now - they seem to be capable of anything on this showing.
