Tommy Fury was finally back in the ring on Saturday night on the undercard of Daniel Dubois vs Kyotaro Fujimoto. The 20-year-old was in action for the first time since taking a hiatus to go on ITV reality show Love Island. The light heavyweight beat Przemyslaw Binienda inside a round to maintain his 100% professional record. All over in just 62 seconds, this was Fury's fastest ever knockout. Naturally, there's only so much we can read into that given the calibre of his opponent.

Binienda went into the bout with a grand total of two wins from his 28 professional fights, so this was obviously not a fight designed to test Fury to the max.

Regardless, he acquitted himself superbly and initially sat the Polish fighter down on the canvas 15 seconds after the first bell had sounded.

You can see the footage of the albeit brief encounter below:

“It feels amazing, thank you to all the great fans who turned out," he told BT Sport.

“I wasn’t looking at the knockout at all, i wanted to box to a game plan as I did.

“May i first say I wouldn’t be here today without my dad, he’s the best trainer I’ve ever had and as father and son we’re going to the top."

Fury has openly admitted he struggled to get fit again and re-adapt to a healthier lifestyle after hitting new levels of fame in the villa.

There were no signs of any such problems on Saturday night and after that display, he'll be looking to step up and fight a bigger name as soon as possible.
