Liverpool’s £8 million signing of Andy Robertson in the summer of 2017 will go down as one of the club’s best purchases in their history. That’s no exaggeration, either. The left-back had just been relegated with Hull but the Reds had obviously seen enough of Robertson to think that he has a future in the Premier League. It took him months to dislodge Alberto Moreno at left-back but he hasn’t looked back since. In fact, there’s an argument that Robertson is the best left-back in world football right now.

He’s come a long way from playing in the Scottish Third Division with Queen’s Park during the 2012/13 campaign.

But Liverpool fans don’t just love the Scot for his footballing ability. They love him because he’s the ultimate sh*thouse footballer.

During the Club World Cup final on Saturday evening, Robertson was up to his usual tricks as he ‘got Rafinha back’ after promising Sadio Mane he would.

It’s inspired us, with help from Planet Football, to come up with eight times Robertson has been the biggest sh*thouse in world football.

Rafinha in the Club World Cup final

At half-time, Robertson assured Mane that he’ll “Get him back.” He was talking about Rafinha, who had just got Mane booked with a snide bit of play.

Seven minutes into the second half, Rafinha was in a heap after Robertson clattered him.

The Liverpool hero was then in the Brazilian’s face after Liverpool triumphed in extra-time.

Peak Robbo.

Elbowing Tom Davies and then laughing in his face

The recent Merseyside derby brought out the very best - or worst - of Robertson.

An elbow on Davies as he landed on him and then he laughed in the Everton midfielder’s face.

Pushing Kyle Walker and then laughing in his face

Robertson’s special move is to give a player a little nudge to send them tumbling into the advertising boards as they chase a ball towards the touchline.

As Liverpool beat Manchester City 3-1, he did that to Kyle Walker and then proceeded to laugh in his face.

The Anfield faithful broke into a chant of ‘Ooooh Andy Robbo.’

Making Ayoze Perez lose his head

Liverpool had just beaten Leicester 2-1 thanks to an injury-time penalty from Sadio Mane.

And Robertson decided to annoy Leicester’s Ayoze Perez at full-time by giving him a little nudge as he celebrated.

It prompted Perez to shove Robertson in the back before both sets of players joined in a pushing match. All started from Robertson's needless nudge.

Shoving Lionel Messi in the head

Not even the GOAT is safe from Robertson’s sh*thousery.

With Liverpool trailing 3-0 against Barcelona from their semi-final first-leg, the Reds needed to rattle the Spanish side at Anfield.

Robertson did just that to Messi within minutes.

With the Argentine on the floor appealing for a free-kick, Robertson ran past and shoved Messi in the head.

It set the tone for an incredible comeback.

Mocking Luis Suarez after Liverpool 4-0 Barcelona

Robertson was forced off at half-time during that incredible match after Luis Suarez had purposely fouled him.

In a post-match interview, Des Kelly said to Robertson: "You had a running battle with Luis Suarez and he took you out."

Robertson replied with: "Who's going to the final?"

Smashing Neymar

Liverpool aren’t used to losing but Paris Saint-Germain beat them 2-1 last season.

It was a frustrating game with the French side constantly wasting time.

“I suppose they were in the lead and they were looking to waste time. You can use gamesmanship, play-acting, you can use it all really,” Robertson said after the game.

“I would like to know how much time they wasted tonight. It’s frustrating when [Neymar] is falling like he is.”

Robertson took his anger out on Neymar in injury-time by kicking him as hard as he could.

Celebrating Dundee United’s win against Dundee

Robertson may only have played for Dundee United for one season but he celebrated their penalty shootout win against rivals Dundee on Twitter back in July 2017.

Just eight examples of Robertson being the ultimate sh*thouse footballer. There’s probably many more during his career that we haven’t mentioned, too.

And there will be many more to come, no doubt.

It’s one of the many reasons why Liverpool fans absolutely love their ‘working class hero.’
