Frank Warren's Queensberry Promotions presented the final major domestic boxing card of the year on Saturday night.Whilst the show was headlined by unbeaten heavyweight prospect Daniel Dubois, much fan interest also centred upon the return to the ring of Love Island star Tommy Fury. The 20-year-old Mancunian was making his first professional boxing outing since appearing on the 2019 edition of the popular ITV2 series, in which he finished as runner-up alongside his partner Molly-Mae Hague. Light heavyweight contender Fury (3-0, 2 KOs) faced Polish journeyman Przemyslaw Binienda (2-27, 2 KOs) in the chief support bout at London's Copper Box - and wasted little time in making an impression on the crowd.Fury would floor his opponent with a right hand within 20 seconds of the opening bell. A further knockdown followed soon after, before referee Jeff Hinds waved the contest off at the 62-second mark of the first stanza.

Fury will no doubt have been delighted with his performance between the ropes as he looks to continue to build his fledgling career. He may not, however, look back upon his post-fight interview with quite so much fondness.

Speaking to BT Sport immediately after his win, Fury was asked to describe his feelings following what was the fastest victory of his career.

"Honestly it feels absolutely amazing. Thank you to all these great fans," responded Fury, before enthusiastically asking the crowd "What do you think?"

In a highly cringe-worthy moment, his query was met with complete and utter silence from the audience. The interviewer scrambled to cover for Fury by answering on their behalf - suggesting that they possibly would liked to have seen the fight go a little longer. Truthfully, though, the damage was already done.

The official BT Sport YouTube upload of Fury's dominant win has seen more than 1.5 million views in a little over 36 hours since the fight, over twice the number that Daniel Dubois' main event victory has drawn.

Perhaps tellingly, though, BT did not include any of Fury's post-fight comments in their upload - preferring to let his work in the ring do the talking for him.

Although early in his career, Tommy Fury will be hoping for many more nights like this past Saturday, but will also be keen to avoid another post-fight gaffe any time soon.
