Liverpool are now officially the best football team in the world. Jurgen Klopp's side won that crown by beating Flamengo in the Club World Cup final on Saturday night. While that's confirmed, many also believe the Reds have one of the best players in the world too - Virgil van Dijk. Their Dutch defender recently came up just short in the Ballon d'Or votes but has won UEFA's Player of the Year, as well as the PFA Player of the Year award this year. He's been instrumental in turning Liverpool's fortunes around and coming up against the 6ft 4" centre-back must be quite a daunting task.

It seems that was the case on Saturday night, especially for Flamengo striker Lincoln.

The 19-year-old - who stands at just 5ft 9" - was made to mark Van Dijk in extra-time and his reaction upon realising that is brilliant.

Priceless. He looks absolutely terrified. Not many players fancy their chances of beating Van Dijk in the air - so imagine how a teenage striker feels about it.

When the roles were reversed, the Dutchman managed to keep Lincoln and his Flamengo teammates quiet for much of the Club World Cup final.

Liverpool needed a 99th-minute goal from Roberto Firmino to secure victory. They return to England as world champions and can now concentrate on domestic football for the next few months.

Klopp's side still have two more tough games to play in December as they look to stretch their lead at the top of the Premier League.

The first is away against second-place Leicester City on Boxing Day, which could see Liverpool suffer their first league defeat of the season.

A home fixture against Wolves on the 29th is another potential banana skin for the Merseyside club, but now they're world champions, fans will be expecting big things moving forward.
