Liverpool's 4-0 win against Barcelona last season has gone down as one of the most memorable games in recent history.

After the Reds were defeated 3-0 at the Camp Nou, they needed a miracle to reach the Champions League final.

And they got just that thanks to an incredible 4-0 victory at Anfield.

It's undoubtedly one of the greatest games this decade, but is it the greatest?

FourFourTwo have ranked the 50 best games since 2010. We've listed the top 20 below.

20. Arsenal 5-2 Tottenham | Premier League | February 26, 2012

The north London derby never fails to disappoint and the matchup in 2012 has been one of the best in recent times.

Spurs looked like they would cruise to a victory when they went 2-0 up within 34 minutes.

But, in typical Spurs fashion, they conceded five goals without reply to lose a seven-goal thriller.

19. Barcelona 0-3 Bayern Munich | Champions League | May 1, 2013

Bayern went into the game having thrashed Barca 4-0 in Germany a few weeks before.

They then went to Catalonia and smashed their opponents 3-0 to complete a record Champions League semi-final aggregate win.

Arjen Robben, Gerard Pique (OG) and Thomas Muller all got themselves on the scoresheet.

18. Manchester United 8-2 Arsenal | Premier League | August 28, 2011

Arsene Wenger named a weak starting XI for his side's trip to Old Trafford and they were made to pay.

One of the worst days in Arsenal's history.

17. Manchester City 5-3 Monaco | Champions League | February 23, 2017

Monaco looked like they would take a lead back to France when Radamel Falcao made it 3-2 to the French side after 61 minutes.

But Pep Guardiola's side scored three times in 11 minutes to earn the victory.

City would still lose the tie though, as a 3-1 win for Monaco in France sent the Premier League side packing.

16. Liverpool 5-5 Arsenal | English League Cup | October 30, 2019

What a game this was. Liverpool and Arsenal both played weakened sides for their fourth round Carabao Cup tie.

No one would have thought it would turn into one of the most dramatic games of the decade.

Divock Origi scored in the 94th minute to make it 5-5 and Liverpool would go on to win the 10-goal thriller on penalties.

15. Spain 1-5 Netherlands | World Cup | June 13, 2014

Spain's dominance in world football came to an end when the Netherlands smashed them in their World Cup group stage game.

Spain went 1-0 up after 24 minutes but the Netherlands scored four times in 46 minutes to pull off a shock.

The game featured an iconic diving header from Robin Van Persie.

14. Real Madrid 4-1 Atletico Madrid | Champions League | May 25, 2014

Atletico took the lead in the Champions League final through Diego Godin, only for the game to go into extra-time following Sergio Ramos' equaliser in second-half stoppage time.

Real Madrid pulled away in extra-time to win their first Champions League title in 12 years.

13. Reading 5-7 Arsenal | English League Cup | October 30, 2012

Reading were 4-0 up after just 35 minutes in their League Cup last-16 tie with Arsenal.

But Arsenal fought back to score four unanswered goals themselves to take the game into extra-time.

The Gunners would then score three more times in extra-time to win a seven-goal thriller.

12. Ajax 2-3 Tottenham | Champions League | May 8, 2019

Ajax looked like they would contest the Champions League final when they went 3-0 up on aggregate against Tottenham.

But Lucas Moura would score three second-half goals, his third in the last second of the game, to complete one of the best Champions League comebacks in history.

11. Liverpool 4-0 Barcelona | Champions League | May 7, 2019

Liverpool's dramatic comeback against Barcelona earlier this year only ranks 11th on the list.

Trent Alexander-Arnold's quick corner will be remembered for decades to come.

10. Chelsea 2-2 Tottenham | Premier League | May 2, 2016

The infamous 'Battle of the Bridge'.

Tottenham looked to be cruising to a victory at Stamford Bridge when goals from Harry Kane and Son Heung-min gave them a 2-0 lead at half-time.

But second-half goals from Gary Cahill and Eden Hazard put an end to Tottenham's Premier League hopes.

They didn't take it very well as the last 10 minutes featured some of the worst tackles you'll ever see.

9. Newcastle 4-4 Arsenal | Premier League | February 5, 2011

Another brilliant comeback.

Arsenal were 3-0 up after 10 minutes and extended their lead shortly after.

But Newcastle came roaring back in the second half, scoring four goals in 22 minutes to walk away with a point.

Cheick Tiote (R.I.P) scored a stunning equaliser that day.

8. Barcelona 1-0 Inter Milan | Champions League | April 28, 2010

Leading 3-1 from the first leg, Jose Mourinho's side were up against it at the Camp Nou when Thiago Motta was sent off after 28 minutes.

Barcelona finally broke the deadlock in the 84th minute, but Inter held on to clinch a memorable victory.

One of the best defensive masterclasses ever seen.

7. Barcelona 2-2 Chelsea | Champions League | April 24, 2012

Chelsea were up against it at Camp Nou. With the Blues down to 10 men after John Terry was sent off, Barcelona needed just one goal to progress to the Champions League final.

But they couldn't find a way past Petr Cech. Lionel Messi missed a penalty while Alexis Sanchez, Isaac Cuenca and Sergio Busquets were also guilty of missing chances.

Fernando Torres then memorably popped up in the dying moments to clinch victory for Chelsea.

We all remember Gary Neville's infamous commentary...

6. Liverpool 4-3 Borussia Dortmund | Europa League | April 14, 2016

The only Europa League game on the list.

Liverpool were staring at a European exit when they went 3-1 down at home to Dortmund.

Needing three goals in the last 25 minutes, Philippe Coutinho started the comeback, before Mamadou Sakho netted 11 minutes later.

Dejan Lovren headed home in stoppage time to complete another memorable European night at Anfield.

5. Real Madrid 2-3 Barcelona | La Liga | April 23, 2017

So much was riding on this game. Real Madrid were three points clear and knew a positive result would all but clinch the title.

With the scores locked at 1-1 going into the final 20 minutes, Ivan Rakitic gave the visitors the lead.

Los Blancos equalised with five minutes remaining, only for Lionel Messi to score the decisive goal in stoppage time.

4. Barcelona 6-1 Paris Saint-Germain | Champions League | March 8, 2017

Now this game was just unbelievable. With three minutes left of normal time, Barca needed three goals to progress to the next round.

Neymar gave the home side hope with two minutes remaining, before Messi scored from the penalty spot three minutes later.

With only seconds remaining, Sergio Roberto popped home to complete a ridiculous comeback.

3. Barcelona 5-0 Real Madrid | La Liga | November 29, 2010

“I stood up and applauded what I was seeing,” Wayne Rooney said of the game. “It was the best performance I’ve ever seen.”

Barcelona smashed their fierce rivals in 2010. Goals from Xavi, Pedro, David Villa (2) and Jeffren gave the Catalan giants a 5-0 victory.

Sergio Ramos lost his head in stoppage time and was sent off. Not very surprising, really.

2. Manchester City 3-2 QPR | Premier League | May 13, 2012

"I swear you will never see anything like this ever again!" Those were Martin Tyler's words towards the end of the game at the Etihad Stadium.

There was so much on the line for both sides. Man City needed a win to clinch their first Premier League title. QPR wanted a result to stave off relegation.

And the away side looked to have ruined City's day when they were 2-1 up going into stoppage time.

Edin Dzeko gave Man City the chance to pull off the impossible when he headed home after 92 minutes.

And Sergio Aguero then popped up in the dying moments to give Man City their first Premier League title.

The look on Sir Alex Ferguson and his Man United players' faces after hearing the news at the Stadium of Light was priceless.

1. Brazil 1-7 Germany | World Cup | July 8, 2014

In 2014, Brazil made it to the semi-finals of the world's biggest football competition on home soil.

There was a real belief they could go all the way and win their first World Cup since 2002.

But they were absolutely destroyed by eventual champions, Germany.

The European side were 5-0 up after 29 minutes. They extended their lead to seven goals with 10 minutes remaining.

Oscar popped up in the last minute to make the scoreline look ever so slightly better.

But that did not change much at all. Without doubt the most shocking result in World Cup history and one that will be remembered for many, many years to come.

What a decade of football is has been. There has been so much drama in the past 10 years.

The fact that Man City's 3-2 victory over QPR doesn't even top the list just goes to show how many good matches there have been in the 2010s.
